I was there with my girlfriends family for my first (and will say definitely NOT the last) yesterday lunchtime.
The staff were extremely friendly and very on point with allergens etc....very much needed as my girlfriends boys can’t have dairy.
The chef himself was very talented and very friendly and it was a fantastic experience all around.
I would definitely recommend this place!!!
The reason why I gave 5 stars is because of the waiter name Mr Lobitos if im not mistaken. I was there with my colleges last week, we had a late lunch at Fujiyama whilst returning to Lobley Hill from a day trip in Upon tyne. The service was very good and the waiter Mr Lobitos was very attentive and made sure our foods are all okay. Besides that we enjoyed the teppanyaki and little show from the chef. I would certainly come again to Fujiyama when im in Upon Tybe. Wonderful and friendly waiter Mr Lobitos, great food and enjoyable environment. I hope the restaurant would promote Mr Lobitos to become one of the teppanyaki Chef as he would be very entertaining to watch.
Had a lovely meal. Was in Newcastle at teatime so went for the Earlybird menu. Great food. More than enough food and really good value. The chef was very attentive even though it was quiet. Can't recommend enough.
Absolutely loved the food, especially as it was cooked in front of me and the chefs tricks were great. The staff were so attentive. First class food and would definitely recommend!!

The place is nice and clean. The food is excellent and, the staff are really friendly. I will certainly go back again. Plus, the chef intertaines you with his jiggling skills. I recommend this place to anyone! ....

Had a great time here. Off to a great start as the front of house told me and my friend that it was restaurant week and we could get a voucher online. He didn't have to tell us this and we found it very kind and helpful. I felt very comfortable and entertained throughout the meal. The food was amazing, I'm not a great lover of salmon, but the one I had cooked for me was lovely. Very garlicy (which I love) and had loads of taste. So much food at a great price. Would happily come back!

Amazing restaurant and the staff are so friendly! Booked for 4:30pm, they allowed us to bring it forward to 4:00pm. Upon entering and leaving, the staff were nice and friendly and they did not rush us out when we were finished.
The venue itself is nice and clean. There's lots of choice and the food is cooked right in front of you. Attended as a party of 4, and we were sat at the cooking workstation. I highly recommend sitting in these seats if you're lucky enough to, just don't wear too much hair gel 🤣
The cuts of meat looked really nice and they tasted even better. Whilst the dishes are reasonably priced, the soft drinks can be on the pricey side (pesky dry-January!) We ordered three main dishes and a kids meal, with a side order of scallops, which were so soft and tender as well as really nice.
The bill overall was quite expensive, however the food was of very good quality and we did order quite a bit. The price of the soft drinks pushed the overall price of the meal up, methinks. Overall, I feel I paid for a meal and a show; the chef was so entertaining and engaging with the customers. And as a bonus, the food is cooked right in front of you too.
Will be attending again in the near future. Thank you to all the staff working on the day my family and I visited.
Firs time in Fujiyama and definitely not the last. Great experience - lovely chef 👩🍳 who prepares the food in front of the table. The food is great as well and the price is fair.

Visited the Fujiama Teppanyaki restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience! Chefs were skilled and entertaining, and each dish was a flavorful delight. The atmosphere was perfect for any occasion, and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend for an unforgettable dining adventure!
Such a great night, out with work friends, which the chefs at work is something to behold and so much fun, lots of laughs and the food was amazing.
Excellent meal and experience for my girlfriends 20th birthday! We were disappointed and more than anything surprised to be the only customers but it did mean service was quick! Staff helpfully explained the menu to us but sadly they only had salmon sushi available, despite this being excellent it would have been great to sample more. The real highlight was the set menu cooked in front of us, got to try a bit of everything across many courses and it was all exquisite from the salad starter, the ribs to the chicken to finish. The experience and celebratory show they provided was top class and very interactive which is the main perk of choosing to dine here but the quality, freshness of food and the delightful nature of the chef should not be under appreciated
We came for my daughter's birthday. Service was great, chef was brilliant and the food was amazing as usual.
Fantastic experience all round. 7 family sat round a table with the hot plate for everyone to enjoy the chef's skills and be entertained whilst being served delicious food. More than a meal and one you'll never forget. Excellent service in a themed restaurant make for a wonderful experience. The prices are great for what you get. It's not really expensive, but don't expect it to be cheap. If it were cheap you would wonder where they cut corners.
It is value for the money.

Would definitely recommend a visit.
This place is absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We all left with a smile! Service is lovely and they are very attentive in every aspect, interaction between the guests and chef is great too this time we came for a birthday and he made a lovely birthday message too which was a lovely touch. The food is unbelievable so tasty and cooked to perfection. Thank you for a making our night fantastic
