First time here today for a lunch break whilst shopping in Newcastle. The food was really nice and there was plenty on the menu to choose from. The service was fab and the lady serving was very helpful. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Newcastle!

We had our leaving do there. We had the little nook in corner all to ourselves and staff had put up banners for the occasion. Staff were really helpful above and beyond. Food was great and drink was flowing nicely. Thank you for a great night.x

The Crows Nest is among the top bars in the North East. It's prime location is ideal for all manner of clientele and it's size mean's all can be accommodated at one time. The quality of the food and drink is second to none at a very reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and I felt at home, even if I did have a little bit too much to drink. I had an amazing cheese burger and the staff rang me a taxi late on when I was tired. When I'm back in Newcastle next week I'll be heading back for more of the same.

Never been in before, was pleasantly surprised as it's so much more than it looks fro the outside. Good selection of beers, nice traditional decor, footy and rugby on, hot chocolates for the kids, what's not to like

For a Friday night in town, taking the kids to eat here was okay and could be booked in advance. The pub was busy, with what appeared to be a pub quiz going on, and our reserved table wasn't ready, as people had taken over it. The staff quickly got the table ready, but it was over 40 minutes before food was brought to our table. The staff were polite and welcoming, but without music, the overall atmosphere was of loud chatter. The heat near the bar was unbearable and we were pleased to be near the windows where it was cooler. Still, the pub is cosy, despite needing a few repairs to chairs. We ordered a range of dishes and the food was generally good, especially the 'award winning' (according to the menu) steak and ale pie. The burger was tasty and the kids meals were good, but limited. The disappointment was the accompanying veg with the pie (I've never seen such a small amount of mash on a plate) and the small volume of sides with the burger left the plate looking empty (see photos).

Classic pub with an eclectic crowd and a decent range of drinks. Plenty of seating, decent quick food and loads of huge TVs showing sport.

Our attention was drawn by the name Crows Nest as this is a rough translation of my name and is my wifi id 😄 and secondly because the days special was steak and ale pie, which is a relic of my Australian heritage. Loved the food and atmosphere.

Amazing pub! My wife and I were visiting New Castle. We stumbled apon this pub. The bar tenders were an amazing and friendly bunch. I didn't know what beer to choose. The suggestion for Beak Brewery Imperial Stout was a wonderful suggestion! Also was able to sample a few beers they had on tap. I loved the Flint Eye. The pub grub went beyond our expectations! The Fish and Chips took a bit of time but, Boy... It was worth the wait! The crispy fish and chips with a side of peas was delectable! Especially with the vinegar, and it paired nicely with the beer. No regrets were had here! My wife and I absolutely enjoyed the time we spent here at the Crows Nest. Next time we visit, we will be looking forward to coming back to their establishment! I highly recommend them!

Decent range of drinks (I had a Wylam Jakehead - the Cloud water was finished) and good for sports watching with one big screen and multiple smaller screens (I was there for Arsenal Vs NUFC 24/02/24). I didn't eat but what went passed looked good - recommended

This is a very good city centre bar, traditional decor and a small outdoor area. It's spacious and has a good selection of ales and lagers. Very handy for a bus or metro.

Gorgeous place, fantastic staff. Had a local beer which was great, but a touch pricy in my opinion. I would happily return tho.

Came in today as a off chance for lunch as the other Green king opposite was over a hour wait for food, not used here before and now glad I have as found a hidden gem! Really nice old style aesthetics, calm customer base, food was of any top quality restaurant I had the steak and ale pie and the gravy that came with was superb in taste and richness. Call out to the kitchen here very good! David was our host as such welcoming from the entrance though the food service and the leaving. We had our dog so dog friendly and again David did what he could for any dog, water , attention and made to feel comfortable. Recommended visited on a Wednesday lunch time 1-4 Lady host was also helpful

Booked a table with a few friends and asked about disabled access, they said they would put out the ramp to the front and move are table next to the disabled toilet. On arrival the bar maid came out to help us in and the same on the way out. Great friendly service and great food
