Genuinely this place is marvelous. I am a repeat diner here because they do not disappoint. Friendly staff, awesome food (seriously, their burgers are to die for) and wonderful to my little boy. I cannot rate this place high enough!!!

Came here yesterday with my daughter for the first time. Initially, thought the entryway was a bit shabby, chipped paintwork etc so didn't have high expectations. I was wrong. Nice decor inside, roomy relaxed atmosphere. We did the lunchtime menu, £10 each inc a drink. Burgers were delicious, service was speedy and staff were lovely. Nice location being right beside the Metro too. Took away their cocktail menu for when I return for a night out with the girls. Definitely recommend

First time I've been in Byron , Newcastle , me and my wife decided to give it a try and I had a smoked burger with crispy onions , cheese , fries , My wife had a chicken sandwich in a sauce , I washed it down with a pint of IPA, best burger I have had in ages , great staff, reasonable price . Just go

Easily the best of the "gourmet burger" restaurants to visit. Better than the rest. Met by a young moody staff member who decided to sit us upstairs, which was empty! Declined and sat downstairs with the other diners as there was at least 6 empty tables to choose from! Our waitress was friendly and served with a smile. Good choice of food and loved the fact I could get a grilled chicken burger without the dreaded panko breacrumbs! Very tastey and also convenient that i could buy the burger without sides. Will definately return.

The staff are amazing here, the food is really tasty and well presented. It somewhere grown ups and children can enjoy. Real fresh food not horrible frozen stuffs like in Frankie and Bennys. This particular Byron is in a beautiful old building in newcastle aswell so aesthetically its a pleasure to sit in. The General Manager is also wonderful and extremely Profesional. Best place i have found to eat out in years.

The best burger I have ever had and I am 71 years old. Even better than any I have eaten in the USA, home of the burger.

Best Bacon double cheeseburger I had in ages. Would recommend to anyone visiting Newcastle to pop in and try. They have very good selection of hamburgers. Money well spent.

Pretty sure I have just had the world's nicest burger. Unreal. I might have to fly over once a week from Belfast just to come here. Staff so friendly and lovely atmosphere about the place

Aah words can't describe how good the burgers where from here. Quite possibly the best burger I have ever had. My partner says the same also. If it wasn't for the fact we live in Scotland we would never be away. Proper burger indeed.

I've eaten here a few times now there's a good variety of burgers including chicken. Friendly efficient staff. Can be busy at times so expect a wait for a table . Drinks to suit every taste, beers, wines, soft drinks. All in all a pleasant experience.

We enjoyed our burgers and (shared) milkshake. The burgers seemed rather expensive, but then we noted that a fairly big helping of chips comes standard with each burger, there's no cheaper option for leaving them out. This is the main reason I'd give for knocking off a star. The chips were good, but we don't have large appetites and even once we'd both had more chips them we wanted, there were still chips left over. And, being a bit picky, the blue cheese sauce was very subtle on the blue cheese flavour. The Oreo milkshake was decently thick, and there was an option for extra malt which we took. One was perfect between the two of us. Could have done with a bit more texture - the Oreos had been utterly pulverised. To be fair, with the chips, it was more than we'd usually pay for lunch out, but the burgers were tasty and nicely done, and since the closest Gourmet Burger Kitchen is in York, we'll probably be back.

Good quality burgers as you would expect from Byron, I come here semi regularly although I have only gotten food to take away. Always happy with the quality and the sweet potato fries are really good too. In terms of price I think it's okay value, there are better burgers in London for the price, but it's certainly not a bad option and the quality is usually consistent

Staff are very knowledgeable about food allergies, gluten free buns are available and taste like normal bread buns! Great food and excellent service. Food is a little pricey but still good for the centre of the city and quality of food.

Accommodating staff, juicy scrumptious burgers and Zucchini fries! Always go "courgette" here and ask for blue cheese. Bathroom is upstairs if you're not super-able.

(Translated by Google) The bacon cheese burger and the vegetarian alternative (with beetroot patty) were delicious and we were full, even if the burgers don't look too big at first. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick. The location and furnishings are interesting and invite you to linger. The location is central and you can easily watch passers-by in Newcastle from the window. A selection of beers is offered.

Well situated restaurant on the highstreet. Nicely decorated, comfortable seats with lots of space to move around. Staff is young, super friendly and well informative. Food doesn't dissapoint at all, if you're looking for proper burgers then you should visit Byron and give it a go. On their menue is also vegeterian option and what goes well with proper burgers...proper beer, maybe not huge choice but few good craft beers to choose from. Well priced food.

Food: Wide variety of burgers that are fresh and have interesting twist to them. Burgers are high quality, definitely not pub quality. Venue: Great venue with beautiful big windows and loads of space over two floors. You have tables with big benches or chairs, meaning you can fit any size of group. Staff: amazing staff, very welcome and actually genuinely nice! Definitely worth a try for a cheeky burger with your friends or significant other!

Service was spot-on. Good range and quality of drinks. Menu was very quirky. A few 'unexplained definitions, but otherwise plenty of choice. If you love your Mac n cheese American style this is right up your street. If not, ask for cheddar, they're happy to oblige. Burger cooked to perfection. Moist and heavy. Maybe a glossary on the wall would help with the menu, otherwise brilliant...

Loved it here. Didn't book, but managed to get a table. Had a starter and a main as the price was so good. The starter wasn't the best I've ever had but the main made up for it completely. The staff were friendly and didn't hang around too much. The atmosphere is also very "Instagrammable" which is a definite plus.

Food I had a B -rex burger with, and my wife had the Byron burger. Both burgers were excellent. I prefer my burgers well done and was asked for my preference when placing the order. I had recently eaten at the fat hippo the previous week and thought that the food in Byron was slightly better The Oreo cheesecake on an Oreo milkshake was an incredible innovative dessert. Atmosphere Charming atmosphere, seats spaced difficult far away for private conversations but close enough to have a friendly atmosphere — music playing at a reasonable volume not to distract conversation but loud enough to enjoy. Internet decor was excellent and exciting and to a high standard. This is a sharp contrast to the fat hippo which I found to be the opposite, dark (no natural light), service standard and tables sticky Toilets were clean and large. Service Outstanding service by all of the team, very friendly. I often don’t leave tips, but the team deserved it.

Burgers are cooked medium and I never for one minute thought that would make a difference. However the burgers here are great, definitely worth a try. Service is average but you do get staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and such people always deserve praise, drinks a bit overpriced however. Certainly a good dining out experience. You have the try the Byron. Best burger there. For two you can expect to pay £30 or more. This is a favourite place of mine however for burgers. In my opinion tops five guys.
