It was a great place with an amazing rooftop area where we enjoyed a few rounds of cocktails. The bar staff was so welcoming and friendly. The cocktails were delicious. There are heaters in the outdoor rooftop terrace as well as a separate bar area up there.

A really nice and cozy restaurant.
The interior design is magnificent (attached photos) and it is completely different from anything else.
There option for food and drink. The food is really tasty. The staff is kindly and serve you quite fast.
It's isn't so expensive considering that it's locate
From arrival, our visit was excellent. We had booked for a meal for our anniversary and the host congratulated us and showed us to our window seat overlooking Grey’s Monument. Our waitress then approached who again introduced her self and was very helpful. Food was superb (unfortunately no Camembert
Friendly staff and buzzy atmosphere. Live singer but couldn’t see him/her and sometimes hard to recognise the song. Had a selection of starters to share. Very good scotch egg and chicken skewers. Chips didn’t arrive but waitress quickly removed from the bill.
A nice restaurant to hang out at. I had the table that overlooked the Monument so it offered very good views to the city centre. Ordered both chicken and beef Sunday roast. It was my first time and I'm quite satisfied and enjoyed this little British tradition. I also pre-ordered a glass of prosecco
What a fun place! We sat at a table with an amazing view of the 'strip' and my wife and I just looked out for ages! The kids were on their phones anyway so they were fine! The food was decent, I shared the kebab for 2 and the kids had chicken and beef burger. No regrets coming here. We had a couple
Food was decent (not the best, but still nice), I got a scotch egg first and a meat skewer after. The place looks stunning with the bright glass roof. Service was excellent, very kind and attentive, and very quick. I’d totally recommend.
The food was very tasty. Really good sized portions and also plenty to choose from on the menu. Atmosphere was fantastic, good music and a great vibe, a decent singer was on also. Will definitely be back again
The food and drinks here were all lovely it was easy to order from the table and the service was quick. I came here with my partner because we have been to a few botanists, we always have a good experience the middle area above the bar was beautifully decorated.

Lovely Saturday lunch with my daughter. Chicken satay & hummus with flatbread for starters. Hanging kebabs for mains. All food was beautiful. Server was friendly & knowledgeable. We had no wait for our food. Our go to place when we come into town. 1st class *****
Had a good live act singing popular songs. The building and decor of the place is just fabulous. Had a couple of cocktails made, dropped a star for the miserable bar person that served us. In my opinion if you're not happy where you work go somewhere else. smile and politeness cost nothing. Didn
Everything was perfect!!!
We just arrived 15 min before the closing of the kitchen, but Emily was very professional, smiling and with great humor and we had a perfect meal. Definitely recommend and we want to come here again next time we visit Newcastle. Very beautiful decoration even for the toilet
Was a really nice place the food was ok could be a lot better saying that I only had fish and chips the drinks where nice the place itself is really nice they have a out door area on the roof and a resturent on the top and bottom level and have a central bar with the tree in the centre under the doo
Always loved The Botanist but especially at Christmas! First time having an Espresso Martini and an Old Fashsioned, both amazing which I will be getting again.
My first ever Sunday Roast, it was absolutely divine. Makes me regret I can't eat it every week. The non-alcoholic drink was also excellent, and the service didn’t disappoint. Everyone was kind and caring. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit💙
A lovely place to sit and view while eating, reasonably priced and good service.
Excellent food and a superb atmosphere, service was a little slow. But all in all a superb venue, we had great seats overlooking the bar area. Would definitely recommend this venue. I had the Korean chicken kebab from the specials. The dip was lovely too. Calamari was great for starters too.
