Eat here everytime we visit Newcastle and as usual its first class food and service excellent.
A great Gluten Free find, good selection of Sandwiches and paninis. Average sandwich about a fiver but you definitely get what you pay for!! Great vegetarian selection too - we recommend the Greek mezze sharing platter.
A nice cute cafe. It was very busy when we visited so there was a wait and then we shared a communal table.
Staff seemed a bit rushed and flustered.
They had ran out of a few things which held up the delivery of food as we had to change our order.
We were served by at least 3 different people which led to some confusion.
No wifi which was disappointing as there was little to no signal in the cafe.
Cakes and sweet treats all looked delicious and the lemon poppy seed was tasty
Sandwich / panini was average.
Chai latte was not good. A tea bag floating in milk with no flavour.
Iced tea was better.
Visited today for the first time. We were told to wait in the front section for a table but we were told to move multiple times which was frustrating. We waited quite a while for the table and we could hear staff moaning about their job etc. The staff were also quite rude at times. I asked for water 3 times and it took a significant amount of time to actually get it. That being said, the food is lovely and the coffee is great. Shame about the service and the toilets are also very dirty.
Staff are lovely and I was seated quickly.
The Breakfast was really nice , a very huge portion although I could not finish it all.
I got a biscoff milkshake, I only realised when I started drinking it that it had banana in it which I don’t really like but the milkshake was still nice.
Really great experience. I ordered and got my breakfast within 10 minutes. It was delicious and tasty. I will come back here for lunch
Popped in for the first time on a Saturday morning, thankfully before the huge queues developed, so only had a short wait. Great menu with lots to choose from. Staff are calm, and more around serenely despite being super busy. The food was excellent, coffee was OK- had better, had worse! I'd definitely visit again! We also took away some cake to have at home later in the day and it was exceptional quality, tasted fabulous (Carrot Cake and Lemon and Poppy Seed).
Great cafe, rustic, old cottage type vibe. Seating area outside, also inside they have both upstairs and downstairs. Lots of choices, I had the veggie business which was delicious (apart from the veggie sausages - they kinda reminded me of boiled hotdogs rather than sausages). Huge cake selection! Ques out of the door when we were leaving, clearly a very popular place .
Sweet place located right next to the shopping centre! Drinks and food do take a little bit to arrive but it's worth it - the presentation is really nice.
Staff are pleasant, helpful and nice to talk to, another review said they're careless, that simply isn't true. I was approached to order almost immediately and they asked how it was.
Prices are fairly good, don't be fooled by some of the dessert sizes, they're quite dense! 10/10
What a bloody fantastic place to visit and the food is absolutely delicious. I had the Thai chicken soup and the others had vegetable soup that was very good as well.
Children’s menu available and the choice of sweets things with a coffee (take out available) is very good as well.
Takes American Express, has baby changing and high chairs!!
Enjoy!!
We decided to go for breakfast on the bank holiday after Christmas and while most places were closed after searching online we found that this place was open and decided to give it a try.
We got there early enough that it was busy but there were still some seats available. We had a quick look in the cake window where there were some deliciously looking cakes and then we were seated straight away by their friendly staff.
They have a wide selection of items on their breakfast menu and I decided to go for their full English while my girlfriend went for smashed avocado and poached eggs on toast. Both dishes arrived quickly, were presented well and tasted fresh and delicious.
If you're looking for a bustling environment, friendly staff and delicious breakfast then you should be checking out Olive & Bean.
Went here mainly for eggs benedict. It was good but the eggs were not runny which had been our expectation. Beautiful Latte art and my hot chocolate was good too. + for the nice crockery.
