The Broad Chare - Newcastle upon Tyne - Photo album

Nice place to go for Mother’s Day lunch, lamb shoulder was tender and excellent as was the Yorkshire pudding. Left feeling full and for the quality of food it was fairly good value, choice and included amount of sides good have been better. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming however the dessert porti
The Broad Chare is a great pub for a drink or two. I went there with some friends who usually go there on Sundays. We went there on a Saturday evening and it was busy but still not too packed. I can definitely recommend having a drink here. The staff is super friendly and they have a great variety o
Absolutely beautiful carvery. Had the lamb here, and it was absolutely perfect and cooked to perfection. Staff were lovely.
Really enjoyed the meal here. I like beer and the Goose IPA was well kept. The posters were a treat but I’d definitely have them again. Service was fairly prompt, busy Christmas party period so can’t complain. Food was delicious. I feel like I had value for money.
Arrived at opening time. Friendly staff and a great outside sitting area. Only sorry we didn’t get a chance to try the food as bar snack menu looked very appetising.
Lunch time snack. On Newcastles quayside. Whilst walking with our dogs and exploring the city, we came across this delightful pub. Got to be honest. We knew about it already but didn't know exactly where it was. We were booked into a nearby restaurant for the evening and just fancied a little snack
Delicious food in a authentic pub. As a starter I had Haggis on toast" and as a main course "Smoked Haddock fishcakes" The atmosphere and the service were very good and the staff was very friendly I really enjoyed it
We shared a t-bone steak. Delicious. Came with sides and very accommodating with substitutions. Everything served was really high quality and the service was also very good. On the pricey side. But I think this represents the phrase "you get what you pay for." Great place to stop for a pint on a sun
A wonderful Sunday lunch option. It's worth the hype, and you should book (weeks) in advance if you're a larger group. Staff were friendly and considerate of the one year old we had with us. Food was amazing as expected. Of the light bites, the scotch egg and curried cauliflower specially stood out
The food was excellent, my grouse was cooked to perfection but I have to say my starter was beautiful. The drop of one star was for not having the wine we wanted from the menu. Service was very friendly though a little shaky but I put that down to possibly being some new staff members.
