One of the most friendly authentic Italian food I have had for a while. The atmosphere is amazingly Italian and there daily specials worth trying
The Italian restaurant atmosphere in Uno's is really strong because you won't feel that you are in Newcastle anymore but you will feel you are in Italy eating Italian meals.
The pasta Uno's serves are very delicious including its carbonara pasta and pesto. The pizza is also tasty. Even the dessert is delicious I tried the three different dessert in a small portion and all taste very pleasing.
To add the goodness in Uno's , the happy hour they have make eating in Uno's inexpensive. A very recomended Italian restaurant in Newcastle.
Mrs D thought the soup of the day was amazing. Unfortunately the Sunday lunches just weren't up to scratch. One soggy roast potato each and not much veg - other than stacks of peas. Mash was sloppy. Perhaps a gravy boat may be better if the food is going to be so runny? Still, it was edible, the meat was nice. Staff were friendly and service good.
The food was great, had enough portion, great in taste! The drinks were nice. The staff were very friendly. Laura was very welcoming and kind.. she even took a moment off her work to click pictures for us and talked to us about the city and the places we could explore within Newcastle.
Overall, a very nice experience and would recommend dining here, if you come to Newcastle.
First time coming here. Environment was clean and food was of good quality as well as being hot and tasty. Generous portions and reasonably priced. 1 star down due to being cheekily deducted £5 from the deposit because someone wasn’t able to make it, even though we spent £360 pounds as well as a £40 tip.
Nice friendly cosy Italian restaurant with welcoming staff who have a good knowledge about the menu. The food was good, and they were able to cater for a group of 12.Staff members, making sure no one had any allergies. Our orders came out at the same time no one had to wait. Food was piping hot 🔥 drinks ate not bad too, just need a little bit more alcohol. If you are able to get to the restaurant before 7 pm, they have some great deals. It was a good evening. Will be back in the near future.
Ate here recently on a visit to Newcastle, as always the service and food was amazing even in this busy restaurant. It was the first time my wife and myself have ever been asked about allergies great work ! we will be back .
My wife and I are here on Wednesday night , we were lucky to get a table as it was Packed which is always a good sign.
The food was Really Good , the House Red wine was Amazing and the service was Great. It's been a few years since we last ate here as we've moved away from the area but it's Definitely well worth a visit if you're in the Quayside 👍🏻
Very tasty food and very polite people! We enjoyed the environment and gad a great meal. The prices were ok! :)
We booked a table for 8 for joint birthday celebrations for my Mam & Step dad on a busy Friday night. The place was fully booked up when we arrived but this has zero impact on the fab service we received.
We were all well looked after from the moment we arrived - ensuring drink orders were taken regularly along with respecting us with time to decide on our choice of food.
There’s a fantastic choice of both drinks and food to choose from. We were also able to make adjustments to our main meals when it came to ingredients which is great! We all had a mix of starters ranging from the black pudding, potato skins, garlic bread and a mix of pizzas and pastas between us for our meals. No complaints from anyone as our food was absolutely perfect.
The only downside is if you visit when it is busy, it gets very noisy from everyone talking and having a good time. But other than that… service was great, food was delicious and the overall atmosphere was brilliant. We had a fantastic evening as a family celebrating and all left absolutely stuffed!
Very busy for early evening on a Tuesday, got a table and place packed.Staff very attentive to everyone, food very good, big portions, some of the items were unusual for an Italian restaurant! Eg pure European or British, would have liked more choices of Italian wine and asked the waitress, she couldn't tell me what was Italian, noticed all French or Spanish wines? First rule you drink the produce of the same country as the food and you can't go wrong.Still very enjoyable food.
Visited Uno's for the first time this weekend and it was great. We didn't have a booking but we got a table straight away. The waiter was quick and attentive which is always a massive bonus.
The food was lovely. For starter my partner had the garlic mushrooms and I had the Calamari. Both were delicious especially the mushrooms! For main I had the Lamb Shank with like a garlicky mash which was unreal. I also got a side of veg which was fresh and cooked just right for me. As usual my partner (creature of habit) went for the pizza and it was delicious. The dough was fresh and the pizza had great flavour.
As a whole the food is well priced and worth it. Very reasonably priced actually. The dining experience was great and I'd definitely recommend and will be going back to try something else.
