I can't believe that it has been a year already since my last visit to Peace and Loaf. I have been planning to return for a while now, so I made sure that the big brother booked us in for dinner, after we had eventually finished off the last remains of the Christmas turkey (it really wasn't all that bad...).
From stepping through the door the service was impeccable.
Staff were chatty knowledgeable and very attentive.
The soundtrack for the night was also enjoyable some great background music.
The taster menu and wine pairing worked really well together they certainly know their stuff.
Would 100% highly reccomend this place.

Wow. What a superb experience. A stunning culinary experience and the service from the bar & being greeted, to our wonderful waitress and everyone in between was faultless. You are made to feel more than a guest and more like a friend. Very relaxed and genuine atmosphere.
The food was stunning. Tasting menu had 13 courses (be sure to go in hungry as you get a lot for your money) and we were amazed at the stunning flavours and textures created. Wine pairing was superb also and nicely presented and explained by our attentive and lovely waitress. Stand out dishes for me were Bread & Spreads & Cauliflower Satay. Having eaten in 3 star restaurants, these dishes could easily have made the menu there. The bread and spreads was the most clever and stunning dish I have ever eaten.
Thanks so much for a wonderful experience. The only surprise is you don’t have a Michelin star. Possibly due to a more laid back entrance but I really liked that. Not stuffy or pretentious at all and all staff very genuine and lovely.
This is a hidden gem. I’ll be telling all who listen about this place and when I am up from London again, I’ll be sure to visit again. Thanks all for a wonderful and truly memorable experience.
Had the larger taster menu, most of which was excellent though a couple of the dishes were a little bland. If you have a big appetite, you will still be hungry after.
The venue is relatively low key, simple and non- pretentious though for such pricing I'd expect a little more atmosphere. Nice wine selection, recommend the Dao as a balanced red. Cocktails and mixed drinks have WAY too much ice in, to the point where they are difficult to drink (though this may be so you can see the bubble-fee ice cubes).

Went for the large taster menu which was £70 per person, one of the best meals I have had in a long time, lovely environment with nice mood lighting, helpful and really chatty staff, the food was exquisite, had tons of flavour and a huge variety of different tastes and textures. The quality of the food was amazing and tried some new things, couldn’t hack the oyster far to adventurous for me, but yes not a place for picky eaters I tell ya!

Simply fantastic. Food 💯, service 💯. Each and every course was gastronomic supreme. Would recommend 100% for date nights & happy dinners .
I don’t usually write reviews for restaurants, but this one was absolutely spectacular. From the service to the atmosphere, and of course, the incredible food, this experience was breathtaking. I had some of the most excellently cooked seafood I have ever experienced and it was the perfect spot for valentines.
If you are thinking about having an intimate evening out with your partner, there is NO BETTER place in Newcastle.
We will be back!

First rate, food was simply gorgeous, even things I wouldn't normally eat tasted amazing. Service was friendly and knowledgeable and helped make the night. Place was busy but that didn't impact the service. Loved it, 100% going back and can't wait
My first experience of fine dining and it was excellent
Food was first class we sampled the B tasting menu accompanied with wine tasting and the wine was superb!
The staff were excellent with their knowledge of the food and the characteristics of how the wine paired with dish was chosen. Altogether it was an excellent evening. Definitely will go back
Went for the festive vegetarian tasting menu but asked ahead if they could make it vegan, peace and loaf did not disappoint. They just couldn't make one of the pudding courses vegan so gave a cocktail instead. We were looked after by the staff really well through our visit and all the dishes were amazing. Definitely worthy of a five star rating.
One of the best meals I've had in my life, and easily the best in the North East.

Exceptionally high quality food, amazing array of flavours across the tasting menu! Service was quick, friendly and very professional. Great selection of local beers and the NE2 Martini was delicious. Only loses a star as I unfortunately found a hair in one of my courses. Overall I Highly recommend Peace and Loaf for anyone wanting to experience high quality dining in Newcastle
Had to rewrite this review because as always words just sometimes fail me, even though I gave it 5 stars last time too... I didn't take any photos on my last visit because in honesty.... I ate everything before even considering doing so! 🙈
We absolutely loved our anniversary date here today.
The menu is mind blowingly awesome and taste bud euphoric.
The wine flight was just so absolutely perfect. Additionally the playlist was great too, making the vibe perfect.
What I loved was seeing a very young diner about 3 or 4 years old enjoying himself too! This venue is so welcoming to families, couples & groups alike.
Staff are so professional & knowledgeable about the entire menu including the wines ect.
I just know I'm going to spend the rest of the day day dreaming of that cabbage & black pudding starter!
We both just can't wait to go again ...
10 course taster menu was superb and very filling. Breakfast and dinner definitely not required! Food was all extremely tasty and the courses complimented each other very well. Vegetarian in party also received a great vegetarian version version of the same menu with excellent vegetarian substitutions (some of which were superior in my opinion).
The restaurant itself has wonderful staff who are both knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Decor is stylish and music pipes tastefully over head to support the friendly and intimate atmosphere despite each table being populated.
Toilets are clean and tastefully decorated.
Definitely one for special occasions.

This was our first "out out" day since lockdown, it was wonderful and worth the wait. Food and Service was excellent. We chose tasting menu B and enjoyed all the paired wines too. Absolutely delicious experience!
Fantastic from start to finish. There was so much food it was a challenge at the end. The wine pairing was top notch. Michelin prices, but it's worth the treat. I'm not sure why you're still reading this - just go.
Had the Christmas 2022 tasting menu, absolutely incredible from start to finish. Venue is cosy yet classy. Staff were wonderful, kind and attentive. Would definitely go again
