Simla Restaurant - Newcastle upon Tyne - Photo album

The best restaurant we ate at in Newcastle! We showed up without a booking but the staff asked us to come back and found us a table on a busy Friday night. The food is incredible, so many options (meat, fish and vegetarian) and the atmosphere is great. Simla is the perfect spot for a romantic date
While the prices might be a tad high for students, the quality of the food at this restaurant more than makes up for it. Each dish we tried was superb, bursting with flavor and presented beautifully. The service, too, deserves a mention – especially Abdun, whose exceptional care and hospitality sign
Very good Indian food and therefore packed on a Friday evening. We had three different dishes of chicken, lamb and king prawns, so we could share and try the different flavours. All were very good, but special praise for the Chicken Tikka Masala, as one of the best ever eaten anywhere.
I have had Simla on my list to visit for sometime but eventually made the visit. We had the Lamb Shank Kashmiri Rogan Josh, which was delicious and melt in the mouth and the chicken Chettinad with a side of the crispy Bhindi dopiaza, veg pulou rice and Peshwari naan. The food was of excellent qualit
I had a very good experience at this restaurant, the head waiter advised us on our dishes based on our preferences and hit it spot on, both the meat and vegetarian were great. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant anymore. The best curry I’ve had!
Amazing Indian restaurant, very friendly staff, incredible food. Definitely one to visit 😊 We often visit after a late night Newcastle game and the place never lets us down!
Our NYE 2023 was made more special when we dined in here. The lamb chops, lamb shank, chicken tandoori and lamb kebab are 💯. The staff made sure we are comfortable.
The food is always amazing here, superb quality and you always know it'll be a fantastic dining experience reminiscent of my recent six month cycle tour in India. Thank you especially to Abdul who was really lovely. I came here with my work friends to celebrate a birthday and I am so pleased we chos
Amazing place me and my girlfriend recently stumbled across on our way home from a disappointing visit to another local restaurant. Tiny place but it looks bigger thanks to all the mirrors. Very smart and clean looking. Service was exemplary and very friendly, not pushy at all. I had the scallo
Simla does the most amazing Palak Paneer that I've ever had. Honestly, my favourite Indian dish! The service is amazing - one of the waiters remembered my partners name the whole night and all of the staff were so pleasant. The place itself is beautiful, too. I couldn't recommend it more!
