First time here and definitely won’t be the last. The food was amazing and the cocktails were delicious. The Takeshi’s Basil is the perfect dessert.
Had the Mother Clucker, Prawn Star and Duck Me Daddy, prepared so fresh that the chicken was still hot! And the team were incredibly friendly, attentive and informative.

It's a charming small spot in the heart of Newcaste where you can only eat shushi. They adhere to tradition by not using forks at all. The food was presented and explained beautifully. The flavour was also excellent. The staff were polite, and the prices were extremely fair. We did not wait much time to get seated and served. Overall, it was a pleasant and with variety experience.
Visited because we are sushi fans and this was the highest rated sushi place in Newcastle. And the sushi was fabulous, really enjoyed it. I had the California-cation and my partner had the Attenborough. Will be back next time we are in the area to try more of their signature urumaki rolls. Only slight negative was the oddly high table.

The best place to have quite huge sushi’s , mouth full of delicious sushi’s. The staffs and the place is fab. The sushi’s are quite filling.
We love it here! The Wasbi Mary's are outstanding. Big fans of sushi and the sushi here is outstanding, well priced & as a lover of a pun very well nnamed. Staff are always friendly too 💚
They only have sushi but they are quite nice. Big and Chunky with a lot of studying. Most of them are above 10 pounds (8 pieces) but it's surprisingly fulfilling. Loves the vibe at this place. Very pretty fake Sakura tree. I didn't order their drinks but they have a whole menu of drinks which seems quite tempting. I would suggest they add some starters, like miso soup, tofu, seaweed, or potato takoyaki. I feel like the menu has too limited options. Unless you are a big sushi fan, you probably can find some other Japanese restaurants that have more varied options on their menus.
Probably the best sushi I’ve ever had - this little gem needs to be on your visit-list. Super friendly team and amazing food.
