This restaurant is the best restaurant in the world it actually changed my life definitely coming back for their challenge!! If you haven’t been here before then you need to it is a amazing, wonderful staff best steak I have ever had and I’ve slammed a lot of steak but I have found the winner in my quest to find it, bravo rare
14 of us went there for a 40th birthday meal and we pre-ordered our food in advance. The food started arriving promptly and it was absolutely gorgeous and very filling :)
The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the service was on top form, absolutely brilliant :)

We had a fantastic night for my mum's 70th. The food was excellent , and plentiful . The staff were amazing , very helpful, and very accomadating. We had my two children with us and the staff were amazing with them. Thank you for making it a brilliant night. X
We booked a table for four for 5 pm, to celebrate my sons 20 th birthday. Had excellent service, the food was fantastic. Would highly recommend rare steakhouse to anyone. Thanks guys, it was delicious!!! Hope to be back... Soon.

1st Visit. After not finding an awful lot of 'decent' restaurant in and around the Stoke-on-Trent/Newcastle-under-Lyme areas I was pleasantly surprised during my visit to 'Rare' Steakhouse in Newcastle.
The surroundings are modern, fresh and clean and the service I found to be attentive and fast despite boking my table for a peak time on a Friday night for 9 people.
The food was among the best I have tasted and went away to tell other friends of my experience who had not eaten there.

Saturday 21/05/11. We had an excellent experience on saturday at rare newcastle under lyme there were 10 of us the service and food lived up to the brilliant reputation,it was my first visit and definately NOT my last the best service i have recieved by far, there was another large party in at the time and unfortunately they were swearing and causing a scene, i felt extremely sorry for the ladies working as the other tables customers were swearing and shouting at them all over a little bit of a wait on food, If you want fresh good quality food then you have to be prepared to wait that little bit longer i say! chin up girls some people just like to moan and see what they can get for free!!!

Brilliant - You must visit!. I was a little tired of the same old restaurants and tea shops in Newcastle and one day whilst looking for somewhere to have a bite to eat and a nice pot of tea I stumbled by chance onto the 'Rare Lounge Bar and Steak House'. I was greeted straight away by Theresa who had a genuine smile and asked me where I wanted to sit. I sat down and was offered the menu and asked what I would like to drink. I ordered the pot of tea for £1.30 and then ordered the lunchtime 5 oz sirloin with handcut chips and a side slad. The pot of tea arrived and throughout my meal filled my cup five times (and came with a 'proper' jug of fresh milk and not the plastic cartons). The steak and egg were cooked to perfection and the chips brilliantly homemade. The side salad (less than £2.00) came in a large side bowl and was the freshest salad I think I have ever had in a restaurant. The meal was fantastic, service excellent, everywhere was clean and although I was eating alone I did not feel embarrased or 'out of place'. I have been back twice since my first visit and have found the meals and service second to none. In fact, I have to resist the temptation to keep going in when I am walking through Newcastle. I have had a new dress that I need to be able to fit in!!!

The BEST steak! 20oz rump is consistently awesome followed by the death by chocolate dessert. You won't be dissappinted. My girlfriend moans it's too cold in there tho
The food is fantastic. I can't think of the last time I had steak this good. The service is outstanding everyone is really freindly and genuinley wants to help. I'd reccommend rare to everyone. It's by far the nicest restaurant on the area and excellent value you HAVE to go there!
