The Bakers Lounge Bar - Newbury - Photo album

Fabulous family run cafe in Newbury. Lovely staff and great coffee. The upstairs is beautifully decorated, sunlit and really comfy for meet ups. The upstairs bar is also great at weekends and for a drink after shopping. Really great to see an independent cafe thriving.
Wonderful service and delicious food from a very friendly team. I popped in to request a large order for a work team lunch the next week and the owners couldn't have been more helpful. They provided a made-to-order lunch for 23 people at an excellent price, ready for us to collect at an agreed time.
Stylish family-run cafe and bar with delicious pasties and pastries, and good beer! Friendly service and good prices too.
Superb coffee and outstanding customer service. Staff are always super welcoming and friendly. Family run and appreciate the little details which make the service memorable. The venue has a great vibe with two floors of comfortable seating and chilled music. Could happily spend hours here! Keeps us
Fantastic pasties! We had steak and Stilton & chicken and veg, both delicious. Coffee was great too, unless you're like Jane in which case it was too strong so ask for extra milk. We didn't partake, but there's a bar upstairs which seemed to carry a good range of beer and spirits.
This venue is a pastie and coffee shop. Staff are really friendly and the food is good. You can sit downstairs or upstairs. This is one of the few places in Newbury which sell this sort of food. 01/07/23 - Visited Newbury to find this place had closed. Real shame.
Have been to the Bakers Lounge Bar a few times now and each time have been impressed with the pasties and coffee; both of which are excellent. The staff are very friendly and there is a warm, cozy atmosphere inside, aided by great background music. Loud enough to heard, but soft enough not to be in
This was our first visit, staff very helpful, lovely big comfortable chairs ,perfect seating area in the window to people watch , and lovely bacon and sausage in a rustic bread roll, coffee was in a proper nice chunky mug too. Will definitely be returning .
This new restaurant is where you get the best pies in town. This is a lovely place for a quiet lunch or a snack. Staff are friendly, the decor is nice and there is a good atmosphere.
It's lovely to see a family business open in newbury and visited today and great service and I know its card only but it keeps the costs down for a new business and great coffee and pasties were great and better than we had from Devon and it was great to see it was busy and being used and can't wait
Lovely welcome, invited me to buy breakfast bap, or cake etc, but NOT pushy. Coffee is excellent.. bought a chicken and chorizo and Peppered steak, both superb. Highly recommended and I'll definitely visit again when I'm in Newbury.
We have been in a few times trying to socialise our nervous rescue and they always go above and beyond. They bought over a sausage for her and the lady fed it to her and spent time building the trust so she could come back in. My dog then lead down and was relaxed enough to fall asleep ! The food i
Absolutely spot on! The gluten free pasties are amazing! Nice to find somewhere that actually does them!! I recommend this place to anyone the bar looked excellent upstairs too so will be back to try that out! Thanks guys and keep up the excellent work
This is a great shop with traditional Cornish pasties, and what is probably the tastiest vegan sausage roll I've ever had! Everyone was lovely and really friendly, and there was a great atmosphere. Very comfy couch chairs too.
Have been a couple times now, always great service and good food, also the atmosphere is amazing with great and comfy furniture and old school iconic posters adorning the walls
I have to eat gluten free, and they have gluten free pasties that are delicious. All my fellow gluten free people know how rare it is to get a buttery bread. But here you get a buttery pastie with a savory filling. It’s stew in a pie yum!!
very friendly and welcoming. great choice of food. Coffee was very generously served in a large cup so brilliant value. decor is attractive, particularly the black and white old movie photos. would recommend a visit.
