The end of an era. After being closed for 3 years the pub has been demolished, ahead of a new pub/restaurant being built. The Bell was on its last legs, so it’s exciting to see what is coming next.
Popped in for lunch after walking. It was quite but the staff were friendly and helpful. It has a lot of character. I had the Halloumi and Hummus burger it was delicious and very fresh. Not the cheapest place to eat but lovely food.

Probably worth 5 stars as it's a really nice place but I've only been in the bar and garden. Bar man is helpful and quick to serve, the beer is well kept. Not had food but saw other people eating and the food looked and smelt lovely. Hopefully go back and give it a try and then update this review.
My sister and her husband had their wedding reception here a few years ago, and this weekend hired it again to celebrate the birth of their first child. Both were really good events, in part thanks to the friendly staff and great food. Highly recommended for private events!
Excellent lunchtime food
We had a pizza between 2 and it was plenty and very tasty. Our friends had a ciabatta which had a terrific amount of chicken. Sadly the Good Old Boy ale you was not as good.
Friendly country hotel, restaurant and pub. I've visited and stayed here numerous times over the past 25 years (work related) and always enjoyed its local charm and excellent catering. The beer is not bad either.
I've stayed here a few times now. It's a typical country pub with friendly staff and fantastic food. The beer isn't bad either!

Superb old place. Fully decorated for Halloween as I turned up before the weekends party. Looked brilliant. Great food, room and service. Coming back!
Lovely welcoming country pub, staff and owners very friendly, accommodation very clean and tidy, food above average, what we ordered was very good, dog friendly. Will certainly go again.
Flooded shower room from a drain clog. They moved us to another room. Very nice pub with beautiful gardens. Good food too.
