Stopped by for lunch and had one of the best beef and ale pies in years. Generous amount of beef, deliciously seasoned. Only thing that I'd suggest improving is the mash potato, mine was dry and not appetising. My friend ordered hers with chips and they were delicious.

High quality roast! And the desserts were divine. I have the Apple pie. Pastry was light & crumbly. The quote on the menu is very appropriate… “the country pub worth the drive out”
Lovely spot in the middle of (West Berkshire) nowhere;-). Surprisingly gets busy and bubbly! Lots of space to sit inside, in the front, or back garden. Food was delicious and fresh. I'd definitely come here again to discover more flavours.
