Good quality food, nice for a quick lunch, the bayou buns need more sauce, chips good but could have been deeper fried. Service good, quick and efficient. Over all a good experience but wouldn’t rush back I’m honest, love to support local but needed it to be way better than we can do at home. Worth a visit but for us just needed a little bit more !
Cosey pub restaurant. Friendly and attentive staff. Lovely food across a Saturday and Sunday.
Had: the steak burger and billionaire burger on Saturday and a chicken roast + beef roast on Sunday.
All beef cooked to perfection. Chicken, moist and easy to eat.
Good portion sizes.
Only downfall would be, it’s a tad warm.
Ate from the Christmas menu.
Booked for 5, but had 2 no shows, the staff were very understanding and super helpful.
I've seen reviews of poor quality veg with roasts on here but found no evidence of this at all on our turkey dinners.
The sea bass was lovely - my only suggestion would be that had it been served with an alternative to chorizo it would make a good pescatarian option on the Xmas menu (other than the nut loaf). Maybe capers, or homemade pickles?
The scotch egg starter was to die for. Bought half home it was so filling 🤤

Great seating inside and out, staff are friendly and offer great service.
Service was slightly slower than normal when I visited but that's to be expected on a busy bank holiday Monday.
Ordered my food on the website while waiting for someone to come take my order, my starter came quickly but there was confusion in the kitchen as they did not have a ticket for my main and it took around 50 min for that to arrive after my starter.
Edit 11/23. Been back here numerous times and have to say never not been a happy customer. Staff are always friendly and prompt. Food has now a good selection of tasty home made pub food, not too fancy but good quality. The Nachos are great, REAL cheese!! Love a good Nacho!

Great pub in a great setting with great food on offer too. We walked from the nearby campsite to break up our alcohol fuelled day. We sat outside in the pub garden in glorious sunshine and drank some more alcohol to wash down a fabulous burger. Would definitely visit again.
Super Sunday Lunch, delicious food, great choice of drinks, generous sized portions.
