Fantastic meal, the young chefs here have intelligent palates. The place is warm & welcoming, staff friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Locally sourced food with good flavour combinations. Well worth the 3 day stay over in Anglesey. Can’t recommend highly enough 😊

Once again The Marram Grass did not disappoint. This time we visited in the evening and opted for the taster menu. The food was exceptional, locally sourced and very seasonal - a true taste of Anglesey at its best. The staff are attentive, and friendly and very knowledgeable about the food they serve. Another fantastic meal. Can't wait to return.

Went there last week and was highly impressed with the food - really top notch! Also, the service was exceptional - as good as anything I've experienced... a couple of days previously my wife got food poisoning. She was under doctor's orders to eat only very bland food, which I relayed when booking online. The front and back of house staff couldn't have been more helpful in giving her a bespoke - and delicious - meal! It's odd that despite us all raving about our meals, it was the 'bland' one which made the biggest impression! Great food and service.

Me and my wife traveled from the Northeast of England to eat here tonight and was not disappointed 100% will travel back one day to eat again

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Really friendly and effective staff. We had the tasting menu with wine package. It was relentless but in a very good way. No idea what was on the tasting menu when we ordered so every dish was a pleasant surprise. Journey home very uneventful as we were on the campsite about 20 ft from the restaurant. Highly recommended.

We visited The Marram Grass today for our family Christmas lunch. Our mum is never keen on eating out as she always feels disappointed... but not today. Imaginative, quirky and hospitable are three words I would use to describe. Starter of vegetable soup, with various 'help yourself' accoutrement such as beetroot popcorn, wild rice and delicious breads was a treat. Main course of all the normal sidings to a roast lunch, and the meats (turkey, beef and partridge) were superb. A delightful little cleanser (Barrie style) followed by a delicious and beautifully presented dessert. We took our own wine happy in the knowledge we would pay corkage, but as it was Christmas, they said they didn't want to charge! Seriously nice touch. Service was outstanding, nothing was too much. A great place that, if didn't live 145 miles away, I'd frequent often. I'll be back as soon as they'll have me. Shed eating is here to stay. P.S we left a bottle of wine that we didn't drink as the staff and owners were all eating later in the day. Much deserved! Thank you for looking after me, my mother and the rest of us so nicely. Hopefully return soon. Merry Xmas. WB

I was a little confused. From what I read online I expected a tasting menu experience, but got more of a tapas style one. We had two very good dishes (the courgette salad and lemon posset lollipop) but the others were mostly just ok. Wouldn't recommend the popcorn, it was too wet. I liked the vibe in the restaurant and saw a lot of good looking food going to other tables, so may have just ordered the wrong dishes. Overall given it a four cause I expected big things but left feeling a bit disappointed.

Had a lovely meal here last Wednesday. It was relatively busy for mid week but the staff were still really accommodating and informative making what we felt were honest recommendations. We started with a couple of oysters and then shared lots of other things like the pork belly special (perfectly cooked and seasoned right down to the veg with it and lovely sauces), the mussels with their famous sauce, the cauliflower three ways, and the mac n cheese. All were really delicious and flavourful. We had to add pepper to the mac n cheese and the bread for the mussels was unbuttered which were the only criticisms we would have about the food. The lighting was also very bright and fluorescent which was a shame as the ambience and lighting in their covered outdoor section was really nice. We just couldn’t sit out there because it was such horrendous weather! For pudding we shared the lemon posset lollipop which was really unusual it was more like an ice cream and had a nice chewy texture. It was also reasonably priced. All of this plus a bottle of wine, a coke and a tip came to £100 which we felt was a great price for the quality of the produce and the cooking

Fabulous meal at Moch y Mar, the Marram Grass' answer to dealing with the current social distancing rules. The restaurant is set up Al Fresco under a large fixed tarpaulin, with sheds available if the wind off the Irish Sea gets too much (they look nicer than they sound!). Friendly, efficient staff who were knowledgeable about the menu. Food was fantastic - amazing flavours, and a decent sized portion. Prices very reasonable for the quality of food. Can't wait to try the Marram Grass when it's operating normally again, and also looking forward to visiting Ellis's new Albert Dock restaurant, Lerpwl.

Came a few years ago & had a brilliant meal including fresh lobster. The restaurant has since rebranded as a popup for summer called 'Moch A Mor' featuring mainly small plates of seafood & pork. The small plates were excellent. The cauliflower steak & the scotch egg we had were both really strong flavours with the curry. Was assured the Mac Cheese was also tip-top. Local craft beer from Wild Horse @ Llandudno was great to see rather than a bog-standard lager or old man cask beer. Sadly the hotdogs as the larger plates were only okay, can you really do huge amounts with hotdogs at the end of the day? At £12.50 I hoped for more of the top of the line option to be honest. Really strange that they don't do chips either, some aesthetics over basic enjoyment there. Didn't go down well with the three year-old we had with us either though the homemade ice lolly was pretty cool.

A delightful little restaurant in Newborough. The staff and service were very good. The menu is excellent! There is a good choice of local and seasonal products. I recommend the surf&turf for two. A really nice and cosy place where I would definitely go again when we are in the area.

Just not sure about the liquorice pavlova at the end, but enjoyed the rest, the highlight being the pork dish. We had the 5 course tasting menu with an extra dish of mussels.

Amazing food and great staff. We got the basic £50 menu. The food was the right amount but it was a symphony of tastes. I will definitely come back here again.
