Lovely local eatery with a lovely welcome. My sister and I stopped here for a bite to eat while walking our dog, and we'll certainly be making our way back in the future.
It's a beautiful little setting, with a mish Mash of chairs and tables on offer, a pet bed available for the pup, and local artists and producers crafts on offer to purchase.
The food was good, and the coffee was great. I decided upon a rather unusual Sconewich and wasn't disappointed in the least. A sun dried tomato and cheese scone filled with bacon and onion chutney, it was a brilliant concept, and one I thoroughly enjoyed. My sister decided upon a slice of the homemade chocolate cake, and that was lovely too.
Cheap, welcoming, and delicious, this cafe is perfect for a quick stop or for afternoon tea. Dogs are welcome (if well behaved), I highly recommend.
Lovely tea room, comfortable and stylish with a relaxing atmosphere. Welcoming owner who knows how to rustle up a fabulous brekkie sandwich and cracking coffee. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Newbiggin by the Sea.
We had a tasty bowl of cullen skink and a quiche, together with a cream and lemon curd scone. Its a nice place, with good feel and well run.
Just had another lovely evening at the Artisan Cafe. Supper club held the first Thursday of every month is a brilliant event. Lindsey’s food is always delicious. We get to have a lovely catch up with friends and meet some new people at the same time.
Absolutely love our treat of a lunch at the Artisan Tea Rooms. Lovely friendly team. Great coffee. Delicious jacket potatoes and cakes. Highly recommended. Will be back soon. Oh. Dog friendly too!
What a great find! Beautiful food and drinks. We had Welsh Rarebit, quiche of the day, lemon scone with lemon curd, and rhubarb frangipane. All absolutely delicious. Tasty mains and beautifully light pastries. Well worth a visit.
Excellent tea room and service! We will return again! Class act in Newbiggin! Update! Just tried the cakes… amazing! Chocolate and the Lemon and the Coffee we all shared and all fantastic!
Wonderful place. Wonderful food. Wonderful tea. Wonderful coffee. Wonderful welcome. In a word !!! Can’t think of one, but I am sure it begins with W and ends in onderful !!!
Second visit. Caters for gluten free diet. Eat in or take away. Fortnightly writing club. Weekly supper club. Monthly book club. Very clean well run establishment, dog friendly situated at 51 Front Street Newbiggin by the sea. Open Tuesday to Saturday 9.30 to 4pm.
My husband and I visited thet artisan tearooms today for a late lunch after our walk. I was very impressed with everything. The lady who owns it does a fantastic job on her own. We had a lovely lunch and my tea came with a china cup and saucer.. my favorite!!
I will definitely go back and will try some of the lovely looking cakes that are made fresh on the premises
Best tearooms I've visited in a long while
