Delicious evening meal from Ladhars, as always. Beautiful white haddock with crispy batter and tasty chips, enjoyed by us just up the road, overlooking the sea at Church Point, Newbiggin. We always travel to Ladhars when in Northumberland!
We live in Blyth and have a few pretty good chip shops of our own. We also often to Amble and Whitley bay where there are top rated chippies, but this one is definitely the best In Northumberland. Massive Crispy Cod on a mountain of chips.
Excellent Fish and Chips cooked fresh to order, some of the best we have tried. A year later even better than last year. Huge piece of fish and loads of chips.
Nice Fish and Chip shop - I enjoyed Spam Fritters with mushy peas. My friend had fish and chips which were tasty and the portion size was just right.
Very reasonably priced, unlike many places where tourists visit. I get sick of paying rip off prices in many seaside towns in the UK

On a break to see family up the coast , had a fabulous fish and chips sitting by the sea . Huge cod and plenty of delicious chips .
Food was tasty. Well priced. Lack of communication between employees phoned to ask if they were serving pizza at lunch was told yes then when in the fish shop was told the opposite so had to return on the evening which was an inconvenience.

Moved to Ellington 2 years ago, and we've tried various chip shops local to us. But they all haven't been the best. Though we didn't order much this time, the chips are fresh well cooked and not soaked in grease like most places.
The kebab meat is a good portion and I couldn't finish it all.

I can honestly say that we both agreed and it was the best haddock and chips and we've ever had. Freshly cooked and not greasy at all. Fish was huge and so meaty. Shame you're 2 hours away fro
