Fantastic service great food. The lounge eggs were superb so much so I forgot to photograph the before and wasn’t about to take a photo of an empty plate. Should have ordered seconds they are that good 👍 Staff are fantastic and the atmosphere superb even early in the day Visited a second time on the Sunday and had a big lounge breakfast which was superb and really set me up for the day ahead.

Nice enough meal. Very quiet on the Sunday we visited. Staff were scarce. Not much more to say really.

Had a lovely breakfast at Tambo lounge today. Service was fairly quick and portions were amazing. We specifically requested poached eggs and they were perfect and I requested mine without beans and tomatoes. Had a lovely pot of earl grey tea on the side as well and could pick from a wide variety of different milks and had vegan options too. The “brunch” menu has loads of options as well including vegan and vegetarian options. Staff were really lovely as well and made sure that we had everything we needed and that everything was okay. Really enjoyed it in here and will be back.

I think we are slowly working our way around the 'Lounge' chain in different parts of the country - Tambo Lounge is at least our sixth and our local version is our 'go to' for a bite with the kids. As usual for a lounge, the menu was varied and everything was very efficient. The only issue here was that the 'at table' ordering website kept crashing and wouldn't take payment so we wasted quite a lot of time before just ordering at the bar anyway. The food was good and well put together and price was reasonable. Service was fine, although there was nobody around near the entrance where it tells you to 'wait to be seated' and we loitered for several minutes. Overall, we would visit again if in the area.

Just dropped in for a coffee while waiting for an appointment in Newark. 1st time I had been in and very nice atmosphere with great service by the staff. Plenty of people eating and drinking, plenty of tables etc. if you are in Newark it’s worth going in.

Great service and atmosphere, huge space so was able to get a table quick on a weekday night. Dog friendly which is a plus, one of my party brought their dog, he settle quickly on floor and had some water with a bowl they provided, they offered treats but we had brought his own. Food service was quick, used the QR code and ordered on my phone, didn't have to wait long at all. Staff are attentive, and the food portions are excellent for the price and quality. One friend had the vegan burger and can't recommend it enough, excellent burger. I had the cheese bacon burger, added an egg, and it was brilliant! Sundaes are awesome too. Can't say a bad thing about the place!

The food is really good, and has loads of options for different dietary needs (including veggie, vegan, and gluten free). The decor is really fun and it is a good atmosphere, however it can get really loud with the music to the point where we couldn't hear each other talking! The prices are reasonable though, and the vegan burger is so good!

Had a lunchtime bite and drink. Lounge Eggs were very good, and the Vegan Breakfast was most enjoyable. The Earl Grey tea didn't really taste as I like though. Not much bergamot involved. The atmosphere in the place was very good, and the waiting time wasn't too bad considering that it was full. Only real niggle is the gents toilet. When standing at the urinals and someone opens the door, you are in full view of anyone who happens to be looking in that direction, albeit you have your back to them. There are pictures on the wall in front of you, and when someone opened the door while I was standing there, I could see the reflection of the people sitting at a table. Not very nice for them I would imagine. Overall though, a great place to eat. Recommended.

We’ve had a stunning few date nights here. The food has been tremendous. So tasty, colourful and varied. They take food allergies very seriously and staff has been first class. I love the music and vibe they have created too.

Quirky bar, great change of pace for Newark. Decent cocktail menu. Food's tasty & a bit different to other places in town - the menu changes regularly too so there's always something new to try. Would recommend trying Tambo lounge for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner! 5/5 for uniqueness!

I am a big advocate for Lounges in general because of their incredible and varied gluten free menu. I never feel like I'm struggling for options and there is always something new to try. First time visit to Tambo Lounge but we will definitely be returning. Lovely atmosphere, great food, great and quick service and really fair pricing.

Went today for my birthday lunch as we thought the halloumi burger looked good (we’re veggies and find it hard to find decent veggie options when eating out). It was SOOOO good. The best burger I’ve had out in ages, such a mix of flavours due to the various things they put in it. The service was great and it the wait for food wasn’t even that long. Will definitely be going back. ⭐️

Well that was bloody lovely. Somewhere en route to break up the journey from the Toon, this little gem in Newark. Not very busy on a Saturday night but started to fill up as we got there. Table service available utilising the QR code and you can order at the bar and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful! Lovely food and hope the photos do it justice!

Have eaten here several times. Always good, especially breakfast. We love the avocado on sour dough toast. Really tasty especially with a couple of slices of crispy smoked bacon on top

Sensational climate. The food is very delicious. The drinks are very good. Service very nice. But unfortunately every time I am the tables are dirty and sticky. I had a few situations where the tables are dirty and the dirt stayed on the clothes. The staff should clean the tables more often.

Newark's hidden gem. A lovely pub restaurant tucked away which serves amazing food from an amazing menu by amazing staff. We received a warm and friendly welcome by letaer who couldn't be anymore accomodating and helpful for our party. We would recommend going along as the menu is incredibly interesting and caters for all tastes and trends, vegan and vegetarian choices were amazing. Safe to say, we will be back. Thank you all

Really recommend, we took the kids and had a friendly atmosphere. Food was better than I expected, really fresh and decent portions, service wasn't super fast given that it wasn't too busy but it certainly wouldn't put me off going again. Brilliant sticker books for the kids
