Went Newark to visit the artisan Market, and saw this pub on the corner, went in for a Sunday carvery, staff friendly, good was good and great value for money, £6.95 for adult £3.95 child. I looked at the menu and the rest of food was very good value. Will be back again when in Newark.
Excellent food & service. Friendly staff and no noisy speaker system at lunchtime. Obviously keeps it s regulars but welcoming the travellers.
Beautiful old building full of character and history-refurbished beautifully inside with a lot of love and affection-a family run business who are both warm and welcoming and a pleasant atmosphere to eat drink and enjoy 💯

This is another pub where I like the atmosphere but it might not be for everyone. The beer is decent and relatively cheap

Spent the day in Newark and visited Belams Bar and Bistro enjoyed the atmosphere and the£5 lunch was great service was excellent
