Overall amazing food. The staff were very friendly. However, there was a ten minute delay. But the food was flavourful and still warm when I got home. Good value, the food tasted great and was high quality.

I used to travel a 12 mile round trip for food from this place, happy memories a LOT of years ago driving here on a weekend night to collect amazing food, the old Chinese gentleman doing his exercises behind the counter after taking your order 🤣. I've not used this place for 10+ years - I discovered Indian food around that time! Anyhoo, myself and my teenage daughter now live very close by and fancied Chinese take away so decided to try China Garden again - we've had so many bad Chinese meals in Newark that we had stopped ordering at all. I'm happy to say that nothing has changed - China Garden still has that friendly family feel when collecting food, and the quality of the dishes is still as good as I remember. We are very fussy when it comes to Chinese food having had rubbish SO many times, so we were delighted to get a very good meal. We have been back twice since and again the food was fantastic. Sad that they are only open Sunday to Thursday til 2030hrs due to this pandemic as we love a meal on a Friday, but sure this will pass. China Garden are highly recommended

Two weeks ago had a takeaway from China garden. The food was delicious, and piping hot.i rang the order through and was greeted with a friendly voice. On collection the staff were very helpful and I can recommend this takeaway.
Our local Chinese takeaway, staff are always friendly and polite. No issues tweaking foods ie-no onions etc. Food is always hot. Very tasty. Reasonably priced. Great little place. Very clean too.
Good food, often go there for takeaways for me or all of us. Parking available outside. Only slight problem can be longish wait times when they are busy if you don't pre-book. But other than that, all good.
Best takeaway we've found in Newark. Even though they don't deliver its definitely worth collecting. Never had a bad meal
The best chinese in newark! My Family love the food. It's always fresh and tasty. They only take cash so visit the cash machine before collecting your chinese.
Best Chinese ever we won't eat at any other Chinese even tho we have move over an hour away we still drive to this amazing place to get our Chinese, the best food is amazing honey ribs are one ting to try 😋
I started coming here over 20 yrs ago and will now only have a chinese from here. I have an allergy and they are always accommodating unlike some places. Food is always delicious and fresh.
On the whole good and pleasant friendly staff. Food reasonably priced and the only negative small portion which is the reason why it was cheap.
