Very good fish and chips, one of the best I've had in a while! The haddock was very tasty and the chips were nice and crispy. I recommend the curry sauce as well.
A great fish and chip shop. Delicious food. Service was excellent, even got scratchings. They are now open on a Monday. Good location in the town.
Great value family box for up to 4 people available. Great service from the friendly staff and short waiting times.
We had takeout fish and chips and the staff were so friendly offered to cook us the fish completely from fresh or if we were happy to have the fish in the cabinet. They also had different flavors of salt and let us try it on some chips first to see if we would like it before putting on our own chip
Top food and top service!
Staff here are incredibly friendly and very personable. Quite clear that they have pride in their business. At the time of serving, they were encouraging customers to try some free portions of chips with trialled salts. I thought that was a very nice touch.
The food itsel
Went in today and got the special of the day . I got a good portions of chips, a mini fish that for me was a really good size and mushy peas and a can of coke all for £6.50 . I can't give 5* because the oil was old and there was all black bits in the chips. It was al lunch time 12:30
Great value for money. I was suprised with quality of food for such a reasonable price. I’m over the moon. The curry sauce to go with chips was delicious and pineapple fritter was to die for! I’ll be popping in for this little treat every time I’m in Newark-guaranteed!
First visit today, lovely freshly cooked mini fish with chips & curry sauce 😋. Great vfm! Tasty pie & a coke thrown in too, fabulous! Great friendly staff & will def be back soon as on my doorstep. Fantastic!! 😍
The food is great. Service is hit and miss. I have had food loads of times here. Usually the service is prompt. Twice now in the last month, I have walked out after sitting at a table for 10 minutes. On those occasions staff seem harassed and struggling, even if the restaurant is half empty. I am gu
