Green Olive - Newark-on-Trent - Photo album

Went for lunch, we had the cheese pie, and the moussaka both were good quality and well presented. The staff were all pleasant and polite. There is also a nice seating area at the front of the cafe unfortunately it was raining on the day we went, dog friendly inside too which was good for us made to
What a little gem in Newark town center, amazing authentic Greek cuisine fantastic service and great atmosphere. Child friendly and plenty of indoor and out door seating. Lots of board games and card games to help keep the little ones entertained. Great veggie options
Lovely Restaurant, sat outside enjoying the morning, watching people browsing the stalls on the market. Our order was taken, and after just a short wait our drinks arrived, plus a plate of treats for our three dogs, very kind. The waitress was charming and very polite and professional, we didn't eat
A great place for a quick bite or a proper meal. Great choice of meals, snacks, desserts and drinks for reasonable prices however not so many vegan options offered. I definitely recommend flavoured teas and sandwiches. The food was tasty, done quickly. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, helpful
Monday Summer Bank holiday, we find ourselves in Newark after missing a bus to London from Lost Village festival. I would miss that bus again for Green Olive. The cozy terrace located in the main square was full, yet the waiter very kindly managed to arrange some tables for us. We came hungry, so if
A lovely little café in the centre of town. I had a simple omelette which came with a tasty side salad and bread. Service is quick and efficient, lots of locals appear to use the place, which is always a good sign. Will definitely be back.
Lovely little restaurant. A taste of Greece in Notts. Could almost imagine we were still in Greece. Traditional Greek music would have capped it all off though.
Food excellent. Lots of choice promptly served. I was enjoying catching up with an old friend after finishing food and were repeatedly asked if we wanted anything else. As there were lots of spare tables we weren't denying anyone else a seat so multiple questions rather intrusive.
Simple café, but the food was outstanding. Very attentive staff (especially Oliver). Not ideal for less abled persons: a few steps up towards the toilets.
Wonderful choice of cakes and drinks. Plenty of space to mix and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the market place or spend time more intimately inside. Lovely staff and good keen pricing. First class.
I can not say about the atmosphere it was a stop over to the airport. I had done an 8 hour Jouney because of a train strike, but the staff was excellent when I arrived, and in the dining room, just the morning was a bit of a letdown the staff just went on about my room number I could not rember so
Charming little cafe with great food. Much more spacious than it looks on the outside. Absolutely love the Greek Gyros.
Me and my wife had the Meze offer and it was so fresh and beautifully made. Each dish was delicious along with the smoothies which were freshly made. I would recommend this as the staff were also very accommodating.
My go-to place when I am in Newark! Great gyros and greek sweets (as a greek myself), lovely service as well and nice seating area in a perfect location in the centre of town.
Came here today and it was thoroughly enjoyable experience. The food and drinks are authentic and fresh. The staff are lovely and welcoming. Cannot rate this place highly enough for an authentic Greek meal.
Had the full breakfast, a nice twist on the original with butter beans in tom sauce, red peppers and Herby Mediterranean sausage. Promoted to our fave breakfast in Newark, sorry Gannets! Coffee was good too.
