The Prince Rupert - Newark-on-Trent - Photo album

This was a fantastic pub to go for a drink at, keeping its hereticate from medieval times! The wall decorations are marvellous, the counter is well-presented and the staff were friendly. I enjoyed a bottle of Peroni at a reasonable price, sitting at the comfortable seating with the bonus of being ou
This was recommended as a good place to eat, it was only a short walk from my hotel so gave it a try. Lady behind bar was incredible, food was really good and service was quick. I had a really good time.
What an unbelievable experience it is just walking into this pub. Built sometime in the 14th century, I just feel lucky enough to be able to experience a place like this. Just amazing! #TeamPrinceRupert - #TheBlueCoats and the #TheRoyalists ๐Ÿ‘‘

Another lovely visit to this favourite of ours. An old historic public house with beams and little nooks and seating areas. Staff are very attentive and food was excellent. Reasonable prices too ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
Wow what a find, met some friends for my wife's birthday we each live about an hour and a half away in opposite directions so this was ideal location. Could not have been a better night. Fantastic pub excellent food and lovely hosts. Chilled atmosphere and we all felt comfortable in our skins laughi
Friendly and attentive staff. Food was amazing, proper homemade traditional dishes. Small details made all the difference, eg food served on pre warmed plates and drink service at your table. Will be back.
Best pub in Newark. The decor of the pub is really impressive. You can drink local beer. Eat good food. moderate prices . Pub is very clean .
Nice bar and great food. A nice outside seating area and the upstairs seemingly original wattle and daub. Drinks slightly overpriced but what isn't atm. Had a Hunters Chicken which was definitely worth the price.
First visit but won't be our last!!! The pies are proper pies ie mouth melting pastry top, sides and bottom (which wasn't soggy). All our meals were well cooked and delicious and there was a good choice of deserts. Service was great, had a laugh with the waiter and landlady and felt comfortable. Ple
Lovely pub and atmosphere :) haven't been in ages and was lovely to see the menu had changed, prices were more affordable, lots of gluten free and vegan options available which is amazing for me as I have a gluten and dairy allergy :) food was fresh delicious and very filling. Staff was doing food o
Amazing food, lovely staff, incredible price! Thank you so much. What a treasure find!
The food is very good and reasonably priced. They also have a vegan menu. The Thai vegan burger was delicious. Beautifully decorated, some of the old parts are still there and they have mismatched tables and chairs which creates an old /traditional atmosphere.
Really couldn't be faulted. Gave it a 4 star as I would like my meal served on a plate not in an assortment of dishes on a bread board. Just don't get it! Other than that a perfect experience.
Nothing but good things to say about this place. If you're looking for food or beer or both then The Prince Rupert is definitely one of the best places in town. Great menu and everything is a decent size, definitely no skimping on portion size. Plenty of ales to choose from and loads of seating too.
Excellent service, lovely pub, and the best burgers in Newark. Will be coming again soon, thank you.
Came this afternoon for lunch. Nice and cosy restaurant. Meals were delicious and the waitresses were really friendly and helpful. My Med Veg linguine (vegan version) was fantastic as well as the Salmon and crayfish open sandwich. Grandad loved the avocado smash one but the chef forgot the egg; howe
