This pub chain is nicely situated overlooking the bay. We chose to sit inside because of who we had with us. The staff were very helpful and accommodating for our needs. We had lunch here, it wasn't too busy I chose pulled pork baguette and my niece had macaroni cheese starter. While the food was tasty my pork was cold, not sure if it was supposed to be and just served with some chips, a little garnish would have made a difference for me. Moderately priced and what I expected to pay for this, in the area.

We stayed for a week in September. The staff were very warm and friendly. Colin handled check in and Lynn introduced herself as housekeeper to ensure we had all we needed. View from the room was brilliant. We had breakfast each day, loads of choice and a couple of evening meals that were great VFM. We totally recommend it.

Stayed here for one night the weather was terrible but it was made up for by this hotel and the staff and service that we received, the barman was the friendliest most helpful polite I have come across but every member of staff couldn't do enough for you, exceptional. The hotel was perfect from booking in to checking out, the room we had was huge we a view of the bay as seen in photos, the bed was large and really comfortable, had a great night's sleep. Hotel is in a great location opposite the bay and a short walk to shops, bars, cafes. The food is served at the table and is excellent and very reasonable price, we had an evening meal and breakfast with a good choice. Now for the drinks, what a great choice bottled beer had an offer on as did the shorts and cocktails which made all the drinks a very very good price. I have stayed at 5 star hotels and not had service as good as this and feel it deserves this review. Well done penwig hotel and a big thank you to all the staff, impeccable.

Great dog friendly pub! We booked using the simple online form and we were able to choose the exact time that suited us very easily. Service was fast for drinks and food and the staff were friendly. Simple pub food, fish and chips and burgers etc. Cooked well and tasty, can't beat fish and chips next to the seaside. Dog treats available on the bar for four legged friends too! Brilliant views across the bay, this place really does have a great location. We have been twice and will definitely return on our future visits to New Quay

We were very pleased with the overall service and food that we received. The waitress was really kind and really nice, she did everything that we asked of her. The food was very good, however, if we have one criticism, it would be that the vegetables were a little overdone. What impressed us most was the way that you catered for our very fussy children by going off menu and did not charge us the Earth for doing so. Thank you so much for a very welcoming and enjoyable evening.

I really recommend the Penwig. Although I didn’t stay there, I had an amazing lunch with my family and when I mean amazing, I mean amazing. Atmosphere was not to busy inside, food was amazing (recommend any burger) and the service was faster than expected as it was quite busy outside. Overall, 10/10 and definitely would come back here again soon.

We always love going to the Penwig. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are always polite and friendly and the food is delicious. The rations are perfect, and the food is always layed out on the plate perfect. We always highly recommend going to all our friends and take them there on regular basis. Out of all the restaurants in New quay I would say the Penwig is the best for an all round experience.

Great welcome, very helpful. Lovely room and great view. We had a slight problem the first night which the manager was very helpful with and made up for it brilliantly.

Recently visited New Quay in Wales and had the pleasure of eating here, the staff were attentive, welcoming and very helpful. The food was amazing, well presented and very tasty, arriving at our table fairly speedily even during a busy dinner service. We are in the service trade ourselves, a former head chef and an assistant bar manager, so understand how hard it can be to perform this well under pressure. The whole team at the Penwig should be very proud of themselves.👍
