The House Martin has been my go to place for the past year or so now. Recently refurbished, The House is a great place to go with your mates or even your family. The food is excellent, though however the menu had an overhaul along with the restaurant's visual appearance and I would say that I do by far prefer the old menu, however the food is still brilliant and I still go here when I feel like spending some money on some really good food. A couple of my mates happen to work here and the atmosphere is great, as well as very friendly and helpful staff.
I highly recommend visiting The House Martin, whether it be for a pint or for a great meal. You won't be dissapointed.
Found this place whilst on holiday in new Milton, absolutely loved it! One of the best meals I've eaten, the staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough, one man even came over to play with my little boy when he was getting a bit restless. Absolutely beautiful inside too, can't fault it a bit. Just gutted we were only on holiday and can't visit regularly!

Family meal for Mother's day and a birthday. The staff easily accommodated 2 vegans, 2 babies and 4 others. The food was excellent, setting is beautiful and everyone had a wonderful meal.
What an awesome place!! The staff were friendly especially Tash she made me and my husbands night really special as we both work and cannot get together very often. The food was amazing especially the fish pie, will definitely be back, thank you

Booked a table last minute and got in straight away. Arrived with a personalised plaque with my name on for reservation. Table for two candle lit dinner. Brilliant staff and epic food. 3 course meal and 2 drinks each for under £60 brilliant!
Food was nice, staff were really friendly and the service was good.
Visited this beautiful quiet pub/restaurant today. Ordered cod and chips and the cod was all fish and very tasty with perfect crispy batter. Chips were large and crispy. Very pleased with the freshly cooked meal. Reasonably priced and lovely friendly staff. Highly recommend.

I have visited the House Martin twice in the last 6 weeks and have been extremely happy with every part of my visits.
The atmosphere of the bar and restaurant is fantastic and extremely well-kept. On both occasions the food has been exceptional, though both times I was far too ambitious with the amount of food I felt able to eat. Today we were served by Ashley and Ollie who were friendly and warm, and gave excellent service.
I understand the establishment is under new management, are a new team trying to find their feet, and are trying to put a negative reputation behind them. I thankfully didn't experience the previous management, but I can absolutely confirm this team is succeeding and I will be returning in future.
I popped into the House Martin for a coffee and ended up having a small bite to eat too. The prawn cocktail was delicious, coffee made just the way I like it and the service was wonderful; friendly, cheerful and very kind staff too. I enquired as to whether they'd charged me enough for my coffee and he replied that that was the price. He said that they were actually lowering their prices to make it more affordable, which is why I had a look at the menu and ordered some food too. It's lovely to see an establishment bucking the trend and reducing prices. Quality of food and service is excellent AND you can pay by cash or card...a bonus. Would highly recommend ! 👌⭐⭐⭐
Just had a fantastic Sunday Roast Lamb at the House Martin… lovely staff and surroundings and the food was fab with generous portions. Lamb on the bone was really tasty and just how I like it.. not overdone and slightly pink in the middle. We got roast potatoes, proper yorkshires, carrots, swede, red cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower cheese (super cheesy) and extra gravy was not a problem… will definitely be back!
Quiet as October out of normal season, quirky restaurant with ceiling full of bird cages.

The front of house staff here are second to none. They are so happy, bubbly and friendly. The food was amazingly tasty and prompt after ordering. The establishment is super cute, they have the history on the walls and it's open, bright and modern. Strong 9 out of 10.
Absolutely brilliant! The service and food were excellent! The atmosphere was delightful, and Ian and Ashley were extremely friendly and kind. Would completely recommend coming here, it gives off the perfect family vibe. Despite its trials and tribulations, this place continues to deliver! Will 100% recommend to come back!

Best meal and service I have had all year
Very happy with the service recieved upon arriving and throughout the evening. Lucas and Ash were more than accommodating for Father's Day and the kitchen staff too. Lovely food served before the kitchen closed and made the night a great one! Will definitely revisit for a few drinks and some great food again.
Was were here to attend a function. Place is very nice in lovely surroundings. The food that was put out for buffet style dining was top notch. It was fresh and plentiful.
Staff are friendly and selection of drinks at the bar is great.
First trip out since Lockdown 2.0. The food was really delicious! It felt like Christmas having that Roast. 👌🏻 The Yorkshire’s are beaut and I love the Red Cabbage!! With the Turkey, Stuffing and Pig in Blanket, it was a winner. My husband loved his Burger and Triple Cooked Chips as well.
And the Hoisin Chicken Wings were lush!!
