We were gifted this stay last year but thanks to Covid we had to reschedule until this month. What a welcome, from the complementary champagne in our room to the room itself overlooking the gardens, the staff, the food, everything was amazing. Definitely going to stay at this gorgeous hotel again.
After coming so highly recommended, a really disappointing experience was had. Had to ask for menus after being seated, waited 15 minutes for a coffee that never arrived and then had to walk round the restaurant to try and find a waiter to pay. They just forgot us. The last time I was there was forty eight years ago . I was on vacation from Canada at the time and couldn’t have chosen a better place to eat. I am coming back to the UK again with my partner in May for another vacation and will be back with my two sisters and a partner of one of my sisters. So loo
The food here is a complete disaster. Tomatoes- furry. Avocado- hard, no flavour. Chicken- dry and old. Nothing here was good. Prices eye watering. Total farce. Eat here at your own risk. Exceptional service exceptional food. The food is a little pricey but deffinitely well worth the cost.
