Paulicarus making his first ever visit to New Mills. Opposite the quick turnaround bus station and close to New Mills Central train station. Only one real ale on today; a good pint of Ossett Butterly. Taylor's Boltmaker was off. Interesting place for food; especially cakes. Also advertising a Spanish Med Night menu. Had Green Lipped Mussels in Madrid once...Paulicarus says once was enough. Nice back beer garden soaking up the July rain. Pleasant interior.
Lovely pub with lovely staff. I was surprised with the outdoor seating areas being so nice too. Massive portions of food and the place is dog friendly 🙂 Would definitely recommend going!
We call in often as it's our local and never have any complaints. We always enjoy the food, the breakfasts are on point and very delicious. we had a Sunday dinner today, and it was nice. I'd recommend. 100%
Great food to be had here. I have had poached egg when I want a healthy breakfast and when I need a more they have cooked me a grand vegetarian breakfast that sees me through at least a day!
The cakes look amazing too but you have to stop somewhere!
We saw a Facebook post for Sunday lunch for the Pride Of The Peaks and as we had been out shopping thought why the hell not. Believe me when I say it was the best decision we had made in a long time. The portion size was enough to feed a family but as the food was so tasty I ate every morsel. We had roast lamb cooked to perfection and hardly a spot of fat, much to the disappointment of my dog. The homemade Yorkshire pudding I could of climbed it as it was that tall. Oh and lets not had seen the desserts as we walked in teasingly displayed in a glass fridge. I was by this point full but had seen the newly made banoffee cheesecake so what did I do...of course I ordered a slice and almost made myself sick because I just needed it
Lovely staff with a lovely warm welcome for your 4 legged friends. The food was freshly cooked and most of it appeared home made. Very tasty and very good value.
The pride of the peaks is fantastic .food is very very good never had a bad meal yet. Landlady shellie and Staff willing to help with your needs.
Top off my list .afternoon tea to Sunday dinner can not fault anything. 10 out of10 every time.
Unfortunately food wasn’t available when we first arrived and an estimate of when they would begin serving again wasn’t really available. However as we were about to leave and find food elsewhere, orders began again, and we really enjoyed what we had to eat. Would visit again, perhaps on a quieter day!
Wonderful food, lovely friendly large pub. Children and the pooch were very welcome. lovely area, we walked along the millennium walk after. As a family (dog included) we all throughly enjoyed....Will be going back again.

Very good friendly staff. We were in a party of 10 & all meals came out together.
Parking is close by but not very suitable for any disabled people as it's a fairly steep short walk from the car park unless you can park on the roadside but the times are a bit limited. Very popular place.

Excellent food and drink in a relaxing atmosphere. Chose Bruschetta and Tomahawk Steak all wonderfully presented and fresh cooked piping hot. Really pleased with the experience 😎
Probably the best roast I’ve had in my life time. Very dog friendly pub, staff are welcoming and pour a great Guinness!!! Perfect place after a long walk!
