Lovely Persian restaurant, not too crowded, very clean environment and a variety of reasonably priced dishes. I was particularly impressed with their Fessenjan. The staff are really professional and friendly. The restaurant does not sell alcohol but guests can brink their own which the staff are happy to serve for them. A very relaxed environment.
Nice food and service, the samosas and garlic nann were good, lamb shack and chicken stew were both good as well but meat sizes were on the smaller side, only two pieces of chicken, saffron rice tasted OK, the bean rice came with lamb shack was quite tasty, lamb chops were tasty and good portion size.
Amazing food, brilliant atmosphere, super friendly staff and immaculate service! We visited Sofreh Restaurant today and ordered the Mix maze and garlic naans for starters and for our main mixed grill for 4 with chips, naan bread and rice. Portions were generous and food was to die for. Definitely will be visiting again very soon. Thank you Sofreh Restaurant ❤️
What a lovely restaurant! The decore is so beautiful and high quality you walk in and would think the price of the food would break the bank but no very good food at affordable prices. I loved it there will definitely go back! Just a thought but this place is perfect place for a date🌹🌹🌹. I forgot to say a little negative point is that the Poussin was pink near the bone 😱 not good ! And to top all your hard work make sure the staff is dressed to reflect the level of service you seem to which to provide❤️
I’ve dined in and had takeout from this restaurant and both times I was really impressed. The rice is so light yet so filling and delicious. I got salmon the first time and a lamb dish the second time. It was well packed and nothing spilled on the way. The portion is very good.
I will try and not show any favoritism as an Iranian! Having said that and with due respect to other diners, only an Iranian would really know how good the food is served in an Iranian restaurant. Having tried all of them in the area from Croydon to Kingston, Sofreh is by far not only the biggest restaurant, it is beautifully decorated, it's airy and it has a soul. Now to the rest, the server Ahsan was very friendly and very sweet, not to mention very accommodating. The food selection is excellent and the food itself is delicious as you can see from the photos. Would I recommend this venue, absolutely. The restaurant is far from where we live, however, we will be returning. A big thanks to the chef!
The only let down was 2 things, an Iranian restaurant needs to play Iranian music and not supermarket music and the tea was not the typical freshly brewed Iranian tea which is expected at that price range to wash down all the lovely food.
Overall a great restaurant but room for improvement.
از مهمان نوازی عالی و غذای فوق العاده شما بسیار سپاسگزارم.
Visited for family dinner during Ramadan. The restaurant was very busy but the staff were very organised and got all the food out quickly. Complimentary soup starter was delicious. I had a mixed mezza starter which was enough to share for the whole table. The main were large and very filling. I had a baklava dessert which tasted fresh but felt the dessert was overpriced for a small portion which was the only let down. Tea was good. The staff were friendly.
What an absolute gem hidden away on New Malden High Street. Fair prices for delicious food. Meat is of very high quality, just delicious, soft juicy and succulent. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Garlic naan, lamb, chicken, all just delicious. Very nice clean toilets. Thoroughly recommended. Will be returning. Eat-in or collection food is consistently great. Well done guys and girls at Sofreh.
Koobideh meal was delicious, however the Barg kabob was a little dry. Overall they have good food and nice atmosphere.
Super food, staff and decor. Very friendly attentive staff. Food was plentiful, traditional, tasty and good value. We visited as a party of 21 diners.
Thanks again to Fez and Imman - apologies, I expect my spelling is incorrect!
See you again soon.
Really good food I did eating in many other Persian restaurant but this one is one of the good one I have in last 3 years no far easy parking people are really friendly I do recommend this place 100%.
They serve the best kebab in UK. No joke. Also, order the Naan bread and hummus. It’s so good!
Excellent hidden gem in New Malden serving up excellent Persian fare by the owner-chef.
Service is excellent and the dishes full of flavour.
The breads are cooked in a traditional tandoor in the dining hall are as fresh as they come.
Highly recommended.
Lovely food!
I visited twice there for lunch and dinner. The waitress who served us was kind and explained the menu well.
We wanted to have the dessert but the restaurant was too busy on Saturday evening so we will try it next time.
Nice relaxed vibe and friendly welcoming staff. Grills tasted great with a subtle saffron flavour. The eggplant starter was amazing and so was the freshly baked garlic naan bread. Yogurt drink wasn’t what I expected though - the extras added ruined it for me. Definitely recommend and will be back to try some more dishes. Meal for two around £45
Love the food here, we keep going back. The specials for 2 or 4 people have everything you need, and don’t forget to order one of their fresh naan breads done in the oven at the front of the restaurant! Everyone is so friendly and the restaurant is well presented, this place deserves more hype!
New Persian Restaurant in New Malden.
Visited opening weekend.
Nice to see a new restaurant on the High Street.
Food was great. I ordered the Momtaz with Zershk polo (barberries rice) (pictured)
The garlic naan was 👌 never seen this in other Persian restaurants and I've frequented many as I love my Persian kebabs.
Visited on a Sunday evening for Dinner.
Service was good.
Food was great.
Will defo return again.
And I keep on returning. The hour drive is worth it.
Great juicy meat, perfect home made bread and nice starters
