I couldn't have had a better eating experience at Haru. For the price of the food the quality is extremely great. I'd happily pay more for the meal I receive. I've never left the restaurant without feeling content (and absolutely full) with what I just experienced. The restaurant really is quality, the service, the time the food is made in, the restaurant 'feng shui' and the waiter service 십점 만점 십점 !!!

Great place to eat, very friendly waiters and great food :)
Especially love the grilled mackerel! My girlfriend loves the beef bulgogi, and you get free tea when dining in, which helps alot :)

A small restaurant on the high street, I never really noticed it before but thought to give it a go and was pleasantly surprised! Lovely food, would definitely go back. Great value, for 4 of us to eat it was approx £20. But the restaurant is rather small, and they don’t take bookings, only walk ins. We went on a Monday at 630pm and luckily they had a table, however it does get busy later.

Food are ok, deco is a bit out-dated. They do authentic Korean dishes that I do like them. 3 pounds for a kimchi refill is a bit too much, not so generous. The beef stew is too salty to me. I think the kimchi pancake is the best. Service was slow as the waitress didn't seem to be very attentive.

I could not taste any flavour of ginseng from the samgyetang, but the japchae and the kimchi pancake were good. Staff members are very nice and helpful.

Ha Ru in New Malden, is one of those indepent restaurant’s with a plain exterior could quite easily be missed, but once you’re inside your taste buds are in for an experience. They specialise in simple Korean dishes cooked perfectly, this is where I first experienced Korean Food in around 2013, and have been visiting regularly ever since. We had the following dishes. 후라이드 치킨(Fried Chicken) 파전(Pa-jeon) 김치찌개 (Kimchi-jjigae) 소불고기 (So Bulgogi)

Very flavoursome food. This is an excellent, authentic Korean resto. Good quality and the portions were pretty good. We see all the regular Korean favourites on their menu, also plenty of veggie options. Service was quick and efficient. Food was well explained,. Pancakes ( seafood and kimchi ), Pajeon and Dakgangjeong scored highly. My friend had Ojingeo-deopbap - steamed rice with spicy marinated squid, nice savoury taste. Another colleague ordered Gdoeungeo-gui - grilled salted mackerel served with rice and gae-twigim - deep-fried soft shell crab, both well done. The staff were great when we visited, really contributing to the positive experience. Great restaurant and we will definitely visit again!

An amazing hidden gem of home-made Korean food in New Malden. We came here for a quick week day dinner. The restaurant was quiet, so we came in without booking. The waitress was friendly and welcoming. We ordered a main dish each, 2 side dishes to share and an iced coffee each. The food was great!! Really like their pancake, chapchae and fried chicken!! I would like to try their soup dishes and hot pot next time. The price was fair. The bill came out as £25 per person including service. Will come back again for another homely week day treat 🙌🙌

Small hole in the wall. Very unassuming at first. But the space inside is lovely. I was eating on my own and they have seats on the side facing the wall which is surprisingly comfortable because you don’t get conscious about other people. The side dishes were nice. The pancake was crispy but maybe just a bit too much salt on the pancake dip for my taste. I was not expecting that the korean fried chicken were like tenders because I thought they were chicken on bone but the flavour was otherwise tasty. The tofu and seafood spicy soup was nice. I mean I have eaten better but theirs is also good. Overall a great korean restaurant!

Food - the food was decent, tasty but nothing too special. Pajeon and Dakgangjeong were arguably the highlights of the food. Limited Banchan given, I’ve been to places that provided more for less but still tasty overall. Service - friendly server and polite, we went on a quiet Wednesday so the lady was alone. Atmosphere - quiet and intimate eating experience. There is a section in the back where people were sitting on the floor with floor level tables.
