Sunday lunch was lovely. I had the roast pork which was very tender, my wife and daughter had the beef which they said was very nice. The veg served was fresh. Perfect balance of taste, portion size and price. Friendly staff. Being local to the area we'll definitely be going back again. Highly recommended.
Lovely place. Popped in for some lunch with family. We were met by friendly faces who sat us down at our table. Drinks arrived quickly. Presentation of our food was superb and it tasted amazing. Wasn't overly expensive either, 4 people, 4 lunches and 6 drinks and less than £50. If we lived closer would happily call this our local. Will be in again next time we are in the area.
Having just moved to the area we have been on the trail of good places to eat out. We tried the Inn on the Green for lunch and were not disappointed - we were warmly welcomed with our dog in tow and had a wonderful meal. Food very tasty, staff ultra accommodating - could not fault so will definitely be returning.
We went for a visit to the nearby English Whisky at St George's distillery and I had booked a table for an early evening meal at the Inn on the Green selected from trusty Trip Advisor. Our first visit to the Inn was not disappointing! Decorated beautifully for Christmas with a cosy log fire. The food was outstanding, the posh fish and chips for three of us and the chicken breast heavenly. We will return.
What a lovely pub is a little village. We are in the area for a weekend break. We all had a sandwich with chips or salad. Two children had the tomato pasta.
We were able to take a dog in to the bar, which was lovely rather than having to stay outside.
The staff are very friendly, they were helpful with eventing even directions to the local shop, opening up a tab for us to pay for everything at the end.
Returned for second visit with friends it was amazing!! Beautifully presented food very flavoursome vegetables cooked to perfection good choice of wine and staff very friendly and welcoming
Will definitely visit again this venue takes some beating!! Credit to all who work there!!
This place is absolutely lovely and so is the landlord and landlady. The ambience is 'art Deco' inspired and works very well. The food is varied and always cooked to perfection. Highly recommended for any celebration.
Visited with friends on Sat 24th Nov. and accompanied by a small dog. We had booked about 10 days ahead.The restaurant was very busy,Although we were early we were seated and drinks were brought to the table,.The menu was imaginative and seasonal, our food was ordered and served.It was cooked beautifully. The staff were helpful and cheerful,they were attentive and polite, the atmosphere was relaxing.The prices seemed average for area, no shocks there!.We would definitely return.
The staff and food were excellent. Beer was great all round very pleasant experience and I must say that the toilets must rate as one of the best in the UK. I would recommend a visit to anyone.
A really special restaurant with a wonderful selection on the menu. Lovely for dates and gatherings. Please note if you have children there are no changing facilities/no disabled loo.
