My girlfriend and I went there on the 4th June and hadn't booked a table however we were very lucky and managed to get one. The staff, in particular Meghan and Charlie were exceptional in their attentive manner and excellent sense of humour. We had the locally sourced scallops which were excellent followed by the half rack of ribs and the roast beef. Both the quality and portion sizes were top drawer. Thank you chef. Overall a fantastic dining experience and top marks to the owners for training their staff so well. Would recommend this establishment to everyone.

Visited on a sunny afternoon for lunch. Sitting outside, it's apperant this place is totally immaculate and well cared for. The food was from a varied selection but all very tasty and well presented. It's a generous portion. We chose muscles for main and a blue cheese burger. Although the burger was a messy eat as the stilton was melting, I still throughly enjoyed it,the onion rings were just soooo tasty. The muscles was a very large portion, I would have had them as a starter as quite filling. Will definitely come again and happy to recommend, good pub grub, clean premises and fantastic views over the Sussex countywide. Try it.

Delicious food in a lovely pub with a wonderful view. I took a walk up from beech estate campsite and it was a really nice walk through the woods. I felt like I earned my pint! The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful with recommendations. 10/10 would definitely come back if I'm in the area. I highly recommend the homemade sasuage roll from the bar menu if you don't want a full meal.

Good food, great service. Going again next Sunday to sample the roasts. Today, our first visit, was the last day of their Sunday BBQ/grill offering. Very tasty and the service was just right with a great front of house member of staff.

Had a special family event in the outside room and everything was fantastic. Service, food, views, facilities. My son did mention that there were no baby changing facilities in the men's loo. Everything else was perfect. Didn't stay in the hotel.

Nothing can better those amazing views! Luckily the food is always excellent and the staff top-notch. Sitting out on their terrace on a summer's evening is one of the best experiences you can get in this area- views over forest and hills down to the coast and the South Downs ❤️🤩

The Inn is quite inconspicuous as you approach along the main road - however on closer inspection the rear reveals wonderful views of the S Downs and generous outside seating areas. The interior of the pub is attractively decorated and well laid out. The service was attentive and informal and the food was generally excellent - with fresh and vibrant dishes. The room we stayed in was quite small - I had booked a small double in error for two - but it was clean and comfy and did the job for one night. Overall a great little place reasonably priced.

Gastro pub. Limited menu so easy to pick although quite limited for vegetarians. Always high quality and delicious meals. Great cocktails and virgin cocktails for the driver. Beautiful setting. Highly recommended

Stunning location and views made it a wonderful place to have dinner in the sunshine and enjoy a pint or two of Silly Moo cider. Food was quite simply fabulous and the service was absolutely spot on.. looking forward to going again.

Everything just as it should be. The menu was interesting and beautifully presented. To start I had the salmon with beetroot sorbet - (a lovely surprise that balanced all the flavours) and the cheese burger for mains. It’s hard to make a cheese burger stand out but this one did - not sure why but I’d been craving one all afternoon and this hit the spot in every way. The French fries were super hot and super crispy - delicious. The wine list is interesting and has a good selection of everything you could want. My dessert of the ginger Parkin was delightful too: Highlight for me was the service - Tiffany is bubbly and welcoming without any overfamiliarity - always “Sir” never “mate” - you know what I mean. There’s something effortless about The White Hart. Nothing fancy - not trying too hard but everything done really really well. Loved it.

The restaurant was rather noisy for those of us with older ears. The sound system loudspeakers were turned up too high.

Myself and two guests had Sunday lunch on a beautiful autumn afternoon. Sea views from dining room table and bi-fold patio doors wide open. Food really good, not excessive. Service excellent given there was a birthday party and a christening in progress. Staff did a great job.

Pub in a great location with views to the end of the south downs, the sea and Eastbourne pier on a clear day. Very friendly, unfortunately no food when we visited due to fridge failures. Newly renovated with sleek terrace, and glassy pavillion.
