Delicious food in a lovely pub with a wonderful view. I took a walk up from beech estate campsite and it was a really nice walk through the woods. I felt like I earned my pint! The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful with recommendations. 10/10 would definitely come back if I'm in the area.
Good food, great service. Going again next Sunday to sample the roasts. Today, our first visit, was the last day of their Sunday BBQ/grill offering. Very tasty and the service was just right with a great front of house member of staff.
Had a special family event in the outside room and everything was fantastic. Service, food, views, facilities.
My son did mention that there were no baby changing facilities in the men's loo.
Everything else was perfect.
Didn't stay in the hotel.
We went for a Sunday roast and the food was incredibly tasty. The best Roast Beef I have tasted. The chicken and lamb were also very nice. Location is veautiful and staff are very friendly.
Nothing can better those amazing views! Luckily the food is always excellent and the staff top-notch. Sitting out on their terrace on a summer's evening is one of the best experiences you can get in this area- views over forest and hills down to the coast and the South Downs ❤️🤩
The Inn is quite inconspicuous as you approach along the main road - however on closer inspection the rear reveals wonderful views of the S Downs and generous outside seating areas. The interior of the pub is attractively decorated and well laid out. The service was attentive and informal and the fo
We stayed in a big room with a stunning view across the hills to the sea. Very well equipped. Friendly and helpful staff. Dinner also excellent with the chef creating a special vegan option for us. Highly recommended
A wonderful meal and location with great staff which was perfect in every way. The meal was so tasty and everyone in our 22 birthday group enjoyed themselves. Excellent value for money.
Gastro pub. Limited menu so easy to pick although quite limited for vegetarians. Always high quality and delicious meals. Great cocktails and virgin cocktails for the driver. Beautiful setting. Highly recommended
The white hart hosted our wedding reception here in June 2022 and from the get go they were amazing and so friendly and professional. The day was such a success and we are so grateful for the hospitality and for making the best memories!
Stunning location and views made it a wonderful place to have dinner in the sunshine and enjoy a pint or two of Silly Moo cider.
Food was quite simply fabulous and the service was absolutely spot on.. looking forward to going again.
Everything just as it should be. The menu was interesting and beautifully presented. To start I had the salmon with beetroot sorbet - (a lovely surprise that balanced all the flavours) and the cheese burger for mains. It’s hard to make a cheese burger stand out but this one did - not sure why but
Fantastic view, fantastic food ... well worth the trip out
The Roast is to die for... but save room for pud it's worth it.
Definitely a destination pub worth going out of your way for
The restaurant was rather noisy for those of us with older ears. The sound system loudspeakers were turned up too high.
Myself and two guests had Sunday lunch on a beautiful autumn afternoon.
Sea views from dining room table and bi-fold patio doors wide open.
Food really good, not excessive. Service excellent given there was a birthday party and a christening in progress.
Staff did a great job.
Pub in a great location with views to the end of the south downs, the sea and Eastbourne pier on a clear day. Very friendly, unfortunately no food when we visited due to fridge failures.
Newly renovated with sleek terrace, and glassy pavillion.
Very attractive staff, friendly, welcoming and the food was lovely.
Fantastic pub resturant food is great slightly more expensive but so worth it 👌
