Oh my days! The best ever Sunday roast I've ever had! Different meat or meatless options available, all home made, veggies and everything was great. The owner(?) Lady was very helpful and welcoming so as other staff members. They have high-chair and booster chairs for little ones which is a big bonus. Definitely will be back! Dessert (cheesecake) was also amazing! Thank you!

I was tasked with booking a dinner for a diverse group of 12 people. The Stables Bar & Restaurant was a 20 minute drive from our hotel, but was well worth the travel. The food and service were both wonderful. Linda was so personable and accommodating to our group. I had lasagna and my husband had a delicious pie. My in-laws also raved about the fish and chips. I highly recommend the Stables Bar & Restaurant to anyone staying or passing by this corner of Yorkshire.

The warmest of welcomes!!! That’s exactly what we were given, as a party of 12 with a disabled guest and also a dog in tow the staff couldn’t have been better. We were greeted on arrival and parking and access into the restaurant were specially provided for us. We were seated in more secluded area of the restaurant which was ideal for our group. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and every one was extremely friendly. But this was all just a sideline to the real star of the show… the food! Absolutely delicious! As a group we ate a variety of different dishes from the menu and every single one was a winner! Although this restaurant is a little off the beaten track it is well worth the extra effort to visit. Highly recommend!!!

As we cycled past yesterday on our bikes we popped in to look at the menu, saw the tasty food and decided to go back to eat after our bike ride. Whilst there Stephen was super friendly and kind enough to supply us with more water (and ice)for our journey. We went back in the evening and had just settled ourselves at the table in the sunshine when the weather changed. Linda said unfortunately they were unable to accommodate us inside the restaurant as they were fully booked however she said we could sit in the conservatory at the back. I was disappointed as we love eating outdoors and I said I'd spotted a little wooden covered structure in the beer garden at the back and said could we sit in there. She said it wasn't cleaned out as yet but as we went round the back to our delight Stephen and Jake were sweeping it out and disinfecting the tables for us!!! Talk about making us feel welcome!! Our meals were absolutely delish and the service by all three including Tom the chef were second to none! Sadly we didn't have enough time for pudding or to stay for the quiz. Another time!!!

I've eaten in quite a few establishments over the years and this is by far the best food I've eaten. I had the Pork Loin and it was melt in the mouth. The Mashed potato was so buttery. Everything just tasted fresh and homemade. Delicious! Very simple menu but my word they have perfected it.

What great pub, not very big but well worth a visit. We have been several times and is always our first choice for a Sunday dinner.

We throughly enjoyed our time at the stables and bar restaurant today. We had afternoon tea and was presented with a table of afternoon tea fit for a queen! 👸. Thanks guys for a lovely treat for me and my 9 year old x 💜😋

The landlord and landlady are most accomodating and the staff are great. The food is really good. There is always a real ale on hand pump. The garden is lovely and the Stables bar represents the best value for money for miles around. Look no further.

Came for a prebooked afternoon tea, served by the lovely Linda. Choice of sandwiches which can be changed if notified, salad, small pastries, brownies, scones, clotted cream and jam. Lashings of tea, all for £14.99 for 2. Absolute bargain. Will be back soon.
