Great pub and food was excellent beautiful sized fish, chips and mushy peas and great bitter shandy ( I don't drunk often as I only have to open a pack of wine gums and I'm on my back 😀)
Arranged my birthday here, 20 people for Sunday lunch and have to say we had an amazing afternoon/evening.
Food and service was extremely good.
The staff couldn’t have been any better.
Thank you making my birthday special.
A very typical East Midlands country pub which grows quainter with every passing year. Thankfully much the same as 30 years ago and relatively busy. Shame that the birds and animals have gone, but good BBQ option. The ordinary man's rural England
Under new management local couple have taken over and this place and the atmosphere has dramatically improved. My favourite country pub I always feel extremely relaxed after visiting this fantastic hidden gem. it's got a fantastic atmosphere, and it's always a pleasure to visit this friendly pub. C
Beautiful old fashioned pub.

Our 1st visit here under new owners was very happy with Sunday roast. Staff very pleasant. Recommend.

Great old school pub, very nice, food is amazing, service is good.
Great atmosphere.
Have been coming here since about November. Food is reasonably priced and a good variety. Emma who works of a lunchtime is a credit to the pub. Nothing is too much trouble for her. Would definitely recommend the Dog Inn.
