Thatch & Thistle, Hungry Horse - Nelson - Photo album

Visited the Thatch & Thistle twice this week for meals while working in the area. We ordered on the Greene King app which worked a treat, was not in a rush so rather than stand at the bar - let us chat and chill while the drinks and food came to use when ready. On one day I had the steak with pepp
Busy, lots of children literally running around and no one speaking to the parents even though I have heard lots of people complaining to staff about it. Food is good, but the steak was well done and we've asked for medium rare. Overall a good experience. Free parking as long as you sign on the tabl
Really good relaxing atmosphere. Good food, fish and chips especially. My steak and ale pie was tasty but just a little overcooked. Staff were as always very pleasant and everything was clean. One of my favourite places for a quick cheap meal. With two main meals for only £11.99 you can’t go wrong.
Waiting time was ok, food came fresh and hot . £26 for 2 of these with 2 sausage with gravy & mash and veggie sticks to start which came with lettuce. 2 pints of coke and a fruit shoot for baby. Burger wasn’t burnt , neither was the chicken .
Oh WOW! This place is AMAZING! I came here with my fantastic tattooed friend Ben. He had a coke as he had been playing darts the night before and had got smashed. I had 2 slimline tonic waters as I am on slimming world and a pint of Stella also. The tables are clean and there is loads of sport on th

Me & husband called in for a lunch treat. Found a table and ordered at the bar with a lovely young lady. 2 x steak & ale pie, chips, mushy peas & extra gravy a pt John smiths & a mocha only £17 bargain. Drinks came quickly followed by the food. Excellent service. The food was piping hot & really ta
A nice enough pub with good food (for the price you pay). We had the Ultimate Big Combo to share, which is a good price at £9.99 for what we get. We finished it up with Chocolate Fudge Cake for my partner and Millionaire’s Cheesecake for me. Both were thoroughly enjoyed!
A first time visit to the Thatch and Thistle, a lovely pub in a nice setting with friendly staff. The service was prompt, kind and helpful with lovely food at good value prices. We'll be back!
Sunday breakfast hit the spot. Nice and peaceful cosy corner was found. Placed order at the bar with pleasant lady member of staff. Drinks were served quickly, food soon followed. 1 full breakfast, jammy toast + two pots of tea all for circa £12. What’s not to like? Certainly go again.
Only issue on this visit was around lack of salad with meals. We were informed while ordering and given discount on extra chips so we were happy. Looking forward to going again.
Really great, food was awesome and the staff are lovely, only problem was that our food came out about 7 minutes apart but its not happened before and these things can happen so overall a really great place :)
This place keeps on getting better every time we visit. The food is always a hit, honestly the best hungry horse around.
Fantastic atmosphere, excellent food, exceptional staff. Will be back soon. Would highly recommend.
Asked for 2 breakfast and make sure the eggs on one are hard and on the other sippy yolk but hot yolk not snotty and cold. We wasn't disappointed. Came as we asked only waited 10 mins and enjoyed every bit. If I could criticise it would be get rid of the horrible sausage that are beef and pork and j
