Lovely people.. great food
I have to say, this place proves that you don't need a millennial-style-wooden-bare-bulb "vibe" to produce really great, well presented and TASTY food!
It feels like a social-club and community centre; because it simply is.
And that's absolutely cool.👌
This cafe is full of surprises. It’s bigger than it looks - toilets and more seating upstairs.
The staff were welcoming and lovely. Tables on the ground floor were divided by perspex screens. It’s clearly a popular spot with locals.
I would describe the food as good quality, simple and straightforward. Our breakfasts were well cooked. What I liked the most, was how good the tea was. A disappointing tea can ruin a meal.
I came here with a couple of support workers and had brunch. I also brought my little boy as well. The food was good quality and affordable and the staff were great as always. It was the first time my little boy ate here and he loved it. Here is Arthur eating his food.
We have Been there for breakfast many times its fabulous everytime 😋. We also went to one of their tapas nights, lovely lovely food 😊

Excellent. Lovely lovely service. Lovely food. Great menu including breakfast served untill 2. Was busy so booking is advised!
First time we have been in cafe but not the last went with our friends and we all had a good meal,very relaxing . the food was very good and the service was spot on and the price was good as well many thanks.
Lovely sandwiches , scones , perfect poached eggs and lots more . Great value for money .

We had bacon and sausage sandwiches very nice. They also cakes with gluten free options. We will be back.
We went for a Christmas meal
with friends and had a splendid evening. They catered to our dietary requirements beautifully- one of us was gluten intolerant and one was dairy free. Service was warm and friendly, we go every week for breakfast so was lovely to enjoy their evening hospitality too and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend and will be going back for dinner as well as breakfast soon!
Really enjoyed lunch here. It was quite busy when we arrived, but we were offered a table upstairs with the caveat that we might have 20-30 minutes wait for food. In fact, we were served much more quickly than that. The food was excellent & everything is freshly prepared & homemade. We enjoyed delicious soup & fantastic cakes.
The ambience is relaxed & cosy with a varied clientele. The centuries-old building is charming & delightfully decorated.

Called in for lunch on the spur of the moment and we were not disappointed. The service was quick and the young man who served us couldn’t have been more helpful. Food was delicious, my partner had the burger and I had scampi. The brownie and blondie we had for dessert finished the meal off superbly! Even better as offering Eat out to Help out scheme

The Angel catered a large party for us and 5 stars isn’t enough. The food was delicious and the staff fantastic I cannot recommend them highly enough!!! Just wish they delivered breakfast!!

Just had a meal here with my fiance.
I ordered the soup of the day, homemade beef brisket burger and cheesecake for desert.
My fiance ordered mozerella with sweet chilli, casian chicken burger and chocolate brownie.
Firstly the food was cooked to perfection. My soup was full of flavour and a beautiful consistency, the bread served with it was delicious also. The mozerella sticks were beautiful and the dip was to die for. Mains was again cooked to perfection and seasoned and flavoured perfectly. Everything was obviously home made and just really nice. Portion sizes were really good also and we were both left nice and full. The deserts were a great finish and really sweet again home made and really tasty.
Robert served us today and was very polite and attentive, even offered to take a photo of us both, he made sure we enjoyed every course and didn't go without anything. Very relaxed and smily atmosphere also and so welcoming.
Marc the chef did a fabulous job and even found the time to bring the food out to us personally and again was very polite and nice.
A very enjoyable experience all around in a lovely homely feeling place to have a meal.
The place is small but very comfortable and relaxing, service was amazingly quick and for the quality, potion size and the fact to food is all home made, fresh and delicious I was quite shocked at how fairly priced this place is too.
I honestly cannot thank them enough for an amazing date night with my fiance and honestly cannot give less the 5*
I'd highly recommend this place! (They're also very family friendly!)

Absolutely beautiful little Gem , we had a toasty and Coffee . Will definitely visit again the English breakfast delicious .all staff were polite and helpful,well done to you all x
After an enjoyable walk around Needham lake we searched for somewhere local to have a lunchtime snack. Luckily we found a parking spot close to this coffee shop and decided to give it a try. Some aspects of the original beamed interior have been maintained providing a pleasant atmosphere in which to enjoy a sandwich and drink. We selected our snacks from the menu, the drinks were quickly prepared followed by our chosen sandwiches which were nicely presented accompanied by the salad. The toasted sandwiches were very good and we really enjoyed them so much so we did not need any of the tempting cakes displayed on the counter. We definitely will be returning in the future.
We would like to thank you very much, for the food you prepared for us on Saturday 24th April. We can't thank you enough for the quality and quantity you laid out for us. We shall not hesitate to recommend you and your establishment for everything you did. Thanks once again a big thumbs up.
