I love the Castle hotel. Lovely team running it, luxurious feel, and the newly refurbished rooms are a delight. I’ve stayed in the standard rooms before, and they’re great, but stayed in one of the suites this time. Wow, just wow. Great night’s sleep in a huge and comfortable bed with a super ‘wake up’ shower in a shower big enough for a party! My favourite thing about the Castle is the way that they have married the charm of the old hotel (all wood panelling and history), with modern facilities and a fresh modern feel in the rooms. It delivers a ‘boutique’ feel, at a fraction of the cost you’d expect.

Stayed only for one night while traveling in South Wales. As good as it can be being a 3 star hotel. The bed was quite comfortable, the room and the bathroom were clean, breakfast was average and it could have a few more vegetarian options (but no other client seemed to mind 🤷‍♂️). Parking is relatively small and can fill up easily and when we arrived quite late at night we had to park on the road, not a problem if you leave in the morning like we did, but could be if you plan to stay longer the next day. Overall a good place for a few nights stay.

Travelled from London for an impromptu few nights in South Wales. It was a great base to allownusbto visit beaches such as Port Talbot, Cawell Bay & Three Cliffs. The hotel was everything that we'd hoped for. Clean tidy and full of character, and the beds were comfortable. Var parking was provided at no extra cost just along the road. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast offered all that we needed, unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our stay. Hopefully we will return next summer as a last-minute trip off the cuff allowed us to explore the most amazing beaches.

Lovely pub, been here twice so far and there's been great music each time. Tried their amaretto sour which was lovely. Quick bar service and plenty of seating. Saw the new year in, which was nice.

A comfortable place to eat serving a very good tasty and well presented Sunday lunch. The Berry cheesecake was one of the best I have ever tasted

The place was fairly busy, we didn't have a reservation but they managed to find a seat for my family and I with one of us in a wheelchair. Plenty of space to move around, the facilities were clean, clutter free and nicely presented. The service was amazing, the waiters were very helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was nicely cooked and great portion sizes. A true delight to visit, we had a great evening.

What a lovely place, the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much for them. The town was very busy, because of a beer festival and having been here on a previous occasion, and loved it, we headed for there again, but as we came nearer, we could see it was full too. As we were wondering where to go, a very nice lady who worked there, said she would take one of the outside tables inside for us. I asked her if they were serving food, not in the bar, but showed us the way to their restaurant. The food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Went for Sunday lunch, had turkey which was plentiful, cheeky little roastie and a parnip, with peas and carrots, gravy was lovely, however I just felt it lacked cabbage or another fresh veg, didn't feel like value for money at £12.95, but enjoyable all the same.

Had our daughter's wedding here and couldn't fault the venue or service. Ann the wedding planner was amazing and kept everyone calm with her efficient manner ...nothing was too much trouble. The room where wedding was held looked beautiful and the meal was excellent. All staff were amazing. Thanks for making our daughter's day so special.

Lovely place, really spacious interior, couldn't fault the place. Good beer at reasonable prices, pleasant friendly staff. Would have had 5* but for stop tap at 10, with residents only served after that. Would definitely recommend tho!
