Lovely, child friendly place. The service was great and nice food. Place to park and plenty of availability when we went. Would recommend to try it out.

The food was awesome. We met a really nice guy, who talked about dry stone walling and the shortest flight in history. He's a regular, and a genuinely nice bloke. The bar staff were very friendly and gave our group of 16 some extra free onion rings and chips. They gave the stag in our group a free shot. The barman invented a new drink for him that he names a "monsters eye", this was not exactly delicious, but, the stag appreciated the effort. There's an amazing opportunity at the bar. You can buy Peter Jones (not from dragons den) album. You'll also find a handy business card for the local Eagles taxi company which we used to get to the Crown and Sceptre down the road.

Under new owners again, food quality is good, prices reasonable for the quality. The service is OK, but the one thing wrong is separate bowls of chips to the main plate. We were a large party the first plates served had the chips to go with it last, a difference of about 5+ minutes, that 5+ minutes for a rare steak to go cold. Vinegar pot was a bit strange too. The room is much lighter than it was before, and tables better laid out. I'd probably go back again.

It was a lovely meal and service. The staff were very pleasant and every request was met with a smile. The menu was varied and home cooked choices. It was good to see The Whit back to it's old self very welcoming and people relaxed and enjoying both inside and outside after a few years of going downhill it's starting to come back which is good to see.

What a great place to eat. The staff were extremely helpful as we were enquiring about booking a function. Following our discussion we (wife and I) had a meal. It was our first meal here though it has been recommended. We weren't disappointed. The quality was very good and the amount on the plate was very generous. We are going to return and recommend The Whittington Arms for the function. I'd recommend the reader to visit and enjoy
