Annwn is special… The meal itself was excellent from start to finish… local ingredients selected masterfully, prepared impeccably, and presented beautifully. Courses were sequenced and paced perfectly. What set Annwn apart for me were the warm vibes paired with the meal…I’ve never been to another “fine dining” restaurant that felt so comfortable and welcoming. Matt & Naomi make the experience personal and made me feel connected to a place that’s thousands of miles from my home. We live a long way from Wales but we’re already thinking of making plans to go again!

Matt is truly a master of his craft .. infusing passion, knowledge and the wild spirit of Wales into each meticulously constructed plate. The care that he and Naomi give to the ingredients, the food, and their guests is peerless. And with each passing season, the food only gets better. This was our third return .. from the far side of the US no less. Annwn is a special place and we will be back for more.

This is a very special place. Superb in every way. It’s an intimate dining experience - every course was interesting, different and perfectly executed. Matt and Naomi made us feel welcome and were great hosts. They provided a great alternative to one of the courses for my partner. It’s decidedly local in terms of sourcing ingredients and the strength of the foraging theme was apparent. The standard of food, service, comfort and care was outstanding.

A fantastic foraged feast! An amazing evening start to finish with incredible flavours from all different dishes. Everything is based on locally foraged foods and Matt draws out a depth of flavour in each element that shows his absolute passion for both cooking and foraging. His descriptions and stories behind each dish were informative and inspiring. A night to remember!

It was such a privilege to experience foraging for foods that would later be turned into a delicious fine dining experience. We foraged with Dan during the day, along the riverbank and through the woods, while learning plentiful about the plants we walk past everyday without stopping to question their properties or uses. Dan was an excellent host, an encyclopaedia of foraging goodness! We came back to the restaurant in the evening for an intimate fine dining experience. Matt’s attention to detail and passion for using local ingredients was magical to watch. Each dish was so creative, to a degree I haven’t experienced before in fine dining. Matt and Naomi were exceptional hosts, and you can truly see, the huge labour of love they put into this restaurant. Thank you for being the highlight of our trip to Pembrokeshire!

I returned to Annwn a few weeks ago, having eaten Matt's food in Sept 2022. In his new venue in the heart of Narberth, Matt's elevated his food further, showcasing food nurtured, loved and cared for, and put together in his larger and better equipped kitchen. Still a unique dining experience, flavour sensations, using only ingredients sourced locally, from the sea, the estuary, the woodland, and local producers. I've been fortunate to eat in some of the UK and Europe's finest restaurants, but this is a cut above. Every course (of which there were 11) teases the curiosity, and the taste buds. Foraged, caught, cured, pickled, fermented, and then treated to Matt's own brand of culinary magic, I challenge anyone to find a more exciting chef right now in Britain than Matt Powell. Great wine list, very fairly priced as well. As they say in those parts, Ardderchog!

Absolutely outstanding, creative, and no other restaurants you can compare it to. Matt Powell makes incredible food from the sea, shoreline, and foraging. Small restaurant means it's often fully booked in advance, the attention to detail is amazing 👏 even the some of the cuterly is made by local craftsmen. A If you're any in the UK it's worth the trip .

Wow! What an incredible dining experience we had on Saturday. Not only did the food taste amazing but Matt's passion and knowledge was extremely interesting; opened our eyes to a world of culinary possibilities right on our doorstep. Thank you for an evening that we won't forget.

These guys giving everything to there fine fine offer eclipsed only by the wine list😋 It’s a lengthy journey though the tasting menu but well worth it, wish them all the success they truly deserve. Thanks for being such great hosts. Josh, Scott, Paul and Chris
