Really cosy pub with a roaring fire, candles on the table and friendly service. I had the roast beef Sunday lunch and was glad to find that the beef was properly cooked (not pink). They also have a lovely cafe called the Potting Shed (photos with plants). I will definitely visit both again.
Cracking pub serving an excellent range of drinks and food. The menu offers everything from traditional fish and chips through to daily specials. We were quite a large party and service was superb with orders taken promptly and food served quickly. Food was uniformly delicious as was the real ales a
Lovely pub, loads of outside tables and lovely canal paths near for a pre or post dinner walk. Only downfall they only did Sunday roasts on Sunday, too hot for that in 30°! So enjoyed a local cider and went elsewhere to eat

We called into this pub on a very wet evening whilst on a canal boating holiday. The pub felt warm and inviting, we booked our table for four and enjoyed our meal thoroughly. There was free entertainment in the garden “potting shed” a fabulous ukulele band. A lovely evening.
Lovely quaint pub, lovely atmosphere. Very friendly and help staff... would definitely recommend going there.
