A great shop with friendly staff and always has something different. Excellent coffee, which can be ground on request. The café at the back is open on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (10 am to 3 pm). They serve a range of hot dishes, toasties, salads, sandwiches, and drinks. We bring visitors here, who enjoy the Yesteryear Museum.

Stumbled across this place and ended up being the highlight of our visit to Nantwich. Very reminiscent of the sorts of shops I used to get dragged around as a child. Great selection of foods, decent quality and fairly priced. Nice coffee shop at the back as well.

Beautiful place takes you back to the 1940s (not that I was around then) it has a good range of food and drinks with fresh ground coffee available. The cafe part of this shop is very interesting and well worth a visit

Step back in time for an authentic cup of tea and a slice of cake. Surprised they still don’t accept white £5 notes

Pleasant shop. I felt like I was walking into a museum in some ways. Fair prices and wide range of foodstuffs. Had a tea in the coffee shop at back which was nice. 'Exhibit' with the mannequins and old grocery shop items was a bit surreal & bizarre to walk into. Certainly an unmatched retail experience

A great little deli with lots of unusual and tasty goodies, including pineapple jelly and interesting chocolate! I love the fact they sell also coffee beans, and will grind these for you. This is exactly the kind of shop that deserves your custom, and now (thanks to covid), more than ever.

So unique. I love this little store. The museum in the back is heart warming and stirs up memories of things my Nan had in her home. The cafe looks nice too.

Take a look at the Coffe Shop which is through the shop - its amazing! It's cosy, with a great selection of teas and coffees and the collection of artefacts from the 1930's to the 1960's are a sight to behold! You wont be disappointed.

Picked up some nice pieces of cheese, and some of their own Sausages. Always pleasure to shop in smaller shops, and Welch's is a wonderful Aladdin's cave.

An outstanding yesteryear grocer's, butcher's, coffee shop and delicatessen shop. The atmosphere is perfect along, with the little museum of yesterdays products, which granny had in the cupboard Outstanding

It's like stepping back into the past! The produce is nice and there is an interesting museum display/tearoom. It's been a favourite of mine for years.
