Visited Boars head three times now First time on 30 December for wife’s birthday as a party of 9 excellent service hot food and good bar service Second time on Mother’s Day again according to wife who was out with our daughter excellent service hot food good bar service and Sunday lunch menu was spot on Due to Wife’s reaction to Mother’s Day meal I booked for the two of us last Sunday as I would be away on our anniversary Chose the Sunday lunch and was not disappointed food was hot service was excellent as was the bar service also arrived early for our booking at 1345 but was no problem and were shown to our table Each time our table was set in the conservatory and we have never had a problem and as an ex chef of 40 years in the trade I have rarely had a better pub dining experience than at the Boars Head I have to add I served as Head chef many moons ago at this establishment and the ambience has been improved 100% since those days A truly lively place to dine comfortably with good food and service Definitely will book again

Been a few times now & I love the place, nice feel about the establishment, the weather was nice so we sat outside & had hot snacks with beer. I have eaten in the restaurant and enjoyed my three courses. great friendly staff.

It’s our first visit at the Boars head, we loved it. The food was sensational, the staff were very friendly and polite and the place it’s self was spotless and although it was very busy the overall atmosphere was calm and well managed. We will be back. Well done guys.

Really enjoyed our lunch here. The food was excellent and the service was good too. The restaurant was quite busy for mid-week and it's understandable why.

Fantastic country pub! We have been here multiple times and consistently get delicious food (the sea bass is amazing!), excellent service, and find it to be a really warm and inviting atmosphere. They have a lovely large outdoor seating area that is fantastic in the warmer months. You can eat out there too. The inside is decorated tastefully and is very comfortable. The staff are all excellent, very friendly and attentive. There is loads of parking just outside. Highly recommend coming here!

A beautiful pub, first visit and treated like a regulars, being given a great table in the conservatory in the window. The lunch menu offered fantastic tasty and well prepared food and was superb value. Great pub leadership, really friendly staff and a notable lunchtime experience, thank you. A little music would have make it 100% but that's me being really fussy. Thank you and we're really looking forward to returning! Nick Richards 👑

Went for the Sunday roast, did not disappoint. Service was extremely fast and the portion size was perfect. Option to get the meat pink or well done. Plenty of space to park. Would recommend the ham. 👌

We recently had our wedding at the boars head, and would like to share our experience! We loved every single moment, the food was the best we have had at a wedding, I know maybe bias but honestly it was stunning. The staff really bent over backwards for us all day and every one of them really is a credit to the company. We were made so welcome and so we're all our guests. I highly recommend any events to be here as they are first class, truly! Ps. I'm already looking forward to going back for many meals 😁

Much better than expected and staff really are super friendly and kind. Clean and modern room with all you need. Comfy clean bed and decent bedding. Grout in bathroom a bit grubby but I don’t go around licking shower wall tiles so it didn’t bother me at all. Noise from road but that is too be expected in a town and again didn’t bother me at all (If you are sensitive to noise maybe try a more rural countryside location). Breakfast was adequate with toast, cereal, yoghurts, tea, coffee and juices all readily available. Not much option for vegetarian fried breakfast but staff we super accommodating and really are a key part of what makes this place fabulous value for more and I’d definitely say it’s somewhere I’d stay again.

This evening's visit was simply to grab a coffee ☕ and get warmed up after a leisurely stroll around the nearby Dagfields Craft & Antiques farm just up the road. As always this Parogon venue is warm, welcoming and buzzing with a friendly local atmosphere filled as it usually is with a mixture of local and visiting diners & drinkers alike. It attracts and accommodates all age groups and types of party from young couples, through to large groups of families and friends. We chose to sat on the slightly elevated tables just inside the main entrance. Despite their location these tables are cozy, warm & very, very comfortable. Not long after sitting with our coffees a similar aged couple sat at the adjoining table. Within minutes we had struck up a conversation with them A good hour and a couple of drinks later we had to leave with our newly made acquaintances staying on to complete their own evening of relaxation. This tells the whole story if this modern yet traditionally furnished gastro style pub. It attracts a wonderful clientele who share the simple desire to enjoy good food & drink on the stunning surroundings of this great Cheshire Eatery. Well done to the Parogon Group who just keep developing, delivering and maintaining venues like this across both Cheshire and Staffordshire. 5-Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and First Class 1️⃣ in every way ... 👌🏻🤌🏻👍🏻

If you're looking for a relaxed place to eat and drink with friends i'd really recommend this place. Really nice staff, service and food. Good selection of cocktails and wines. Only area that I think might be an issue is it's not great with young kids, they have high chairs but the wait to be served might be too long.

Went to the Board Head on Sunday night. We did book the tipi but due to the wind we’re advised to stay inside, my suggest for this would to not have the option to book the tipi on days they can not let customers in it as I was quite excited for it. However, the glass room we were put into was gorgeous! The food was so yummy, we do not have one bad thing to say about it! I especially have to mention the duck starter which was delicious. Would definitely come here again. Staff were extremely friendly and service was great.

Recommended to us and it didn’t disappoint. Table service, prompt, friendly and professional. Good selection of food but not too much to overwhelm. We ordered the olive tapenade, sausage and mash and the haddock goujons. Excellent food, very high quality and excellent service. We sat outside in the sunshine, there is a paved terrace, lawn seating and a wooden tepee type building. Very picturesque. Beautiful and will definitely go again. Highly recommended.

Been here 3x and each visit is always as good as the previous. Fantastic atmosphere and delicious food. Busy during summer time but there's plenty of staff to assist you, so food service was not as bad. Brought 3 young toddlers here and their small plates for children were good portions. It was a shame the lunch menu wasn't available on the day we visited but nonetheless, the main menu items did not disappoint. You definitely get what you pay for. Great quality of food and very kind staff. We will come back again (and again)
