Really loved this place.! Nice friendly staff. Old pub in countryside in Cornwall. Very traditional. Helpful. Stayed in our camper. Need to book ahead for meal. Would recommend and go back again. Good food. Friday night fish & chips. Gets busy. Thank you.

Lovely staff, great food (fish & chips and full English breakfast in the morning) and very dog friendly. The accommodation was comfortable, easy to find with plenty of parking. The pub is very nice with friendly locals.

What an amazing place, a real hidden gem. We only booked for 1 night but were very impressed with our large period featured room with so much character and amazing views. The service and friendliness from the lovely couple who run the Engine Inn was second to none. The traditional breakfast served in the pub with so much history was a real treat. To top it off, fantastic value for a party of 4 to stay for 1 night in such a lovely location and part of Cornwall. Would definitely recommend it to anyone and will be returning back their.

Amazing vibe of the area, the rented room was really vintage but cosy and warm. The English breakfast with local beacon and sausage 🥓 was amazing! So yummy and fresh. And the beer, you know it. The view through the room to the cow's field was unforgettable. Plenty of parking space for cars and caravans. There is even free camping site nearby. Highly recommended.

Brian and Anna are the most welcoming and pleasant hosts you could prepare for. They have a beautiful establishment that is cared for with joy and pride. The gardens and views are spectacular, with plenty of space for all to enjoy and the inside offers comfort, warmth and the nostalgia of a genuine, original INN. I would say the are the best within the area with a The Watermill coming in a close second. Stay away from the Balnoon! We didn't eat here but the reviews of what we heard whilst within the establishment were all positive.

Spent a couple of nights here over the Bank Holiday. Made to feel very welcome on arrival and our room was ready even though we were several hours early. We had booked for dinner in the restaurant meeting cousins that lived locally. The Sunday roast was excellent, as was the breakfasts prepared by Anna.

Amazing little pub we had several beers and then camped in our vans in the carpark. Then we got up for breakfast at 8:30 and that too was amazing. Will be using the engine inn again next time we go Cornwall.

The landlady was very friendly welcoming and kind towards us and our dog. Was a beautiful place to stay very clean and tidy even though we booked 13 minutes before arrival. Was given a great option for breakfast and the food was absolutely divine. Both me and my partner highly recommend and if we ever find ourselves over that end again will 100% stay again.

What an outstanding gem. Anna and Brian were the perfect hosts and the food was amazing. This rustic pub has plenty of quirky charm and the guest accommodation was perfect, clean and had a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was top notch. Thank you for a perfect stay. What an amazing find on our travels! We were getting abit stuck to park up with camper...stumbled upon this pub in middle of nowhere and ran in to see if it was OK to park up n buy afew drinks. Greeted with a lovely smile and told "no problem!" Run by the lovely Anna and bri so very welcoming to us. Chatted the night away with them and afew locals extremely friendly. Inside the pub are 2 original fireplaces that are beautiful. Toilets spotless plenty of comfy seating with a huge outdoor area too plus playground area for children. The views are stunning surrounding you in every direction. Rolling fields cows n greenery as far as the eyes can see. Then the best bit comes breakfast served til 9.30am Anna had our table already set up for us with a huge coffee pot. The breakfast was immense! Best local sourced sausage ever! Full English best by far! It was a pleasure staying and meeting the owners they go above and beyond so thankyou from micky n vicky x

Lovely little local pub... Although we were slightly fooled when asked about eating as we're told to wait, however they had no chef 😂 Was a shame as seemed a lovely cornish pub
