This little cafe is a wonderful little place at Nairn harbour. Small dog friendly and serves the best coffee and cake! The meals are very good and great value for money...I recommend a visit! :)
One of my favourite spots! Whether it be for tea and cake, a breakfast treat, or a big lunch, there's plenty to choose from, and the food is always excellent.
Just a special place for a great breakfast, and dog friendly too, so you don't have to sit out in the cold if you are with your furry pals. Very pleasant staff. Lovely bacon and black pudding. Cakes and scones are great too.
Really chuffed to find this cute wee place that we could take our little dog to also. Great food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. No complaints and we will be back!
Excellent food and service highly recommend a visit you won't be disappointed. Also on the plus side for us you can take small dogs in, so our westie Bonnie comes with us.
This wee cafe is fabulous. The staff are brilliant and the food is incredible. I seriously recommend the Cullen skink - it's to die for.
Had lunch to go, haggis, cheddar and fried onion ciabatta for me and bacon and Brie for Steve, lush! Good coffee and friendly staff. If we had known you were dog friendly we would have brought in Jess for a pupachino, she's a top canine hotel reviewer you know
The best veggie breakfast we've ever had! Generous portions, perfectly cooked, and service with a smile. Great atmosphere in this little cafe. What a find! Wish we lived nearer.
Me and the kids always have a trip here when we are at Nairn. Lovely cafe, fab food and friendly staff.
Went out for an evening with work colleagues and had a fantastic night. Food was great.............we had ordered a selection of each of the tapas from the menu and there was sufficient to feed us all comfortably. Service was excellent and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend going for a night out there. Shame the place is so small.........larger premises would be beneficial to everyone (but not too large or they will lose their individuality) Brilliant place
Great little cafe. It’s a must when your in Nairn next to harbour. Food excellent and the 🎂 awesome
Had a lovely late lunch yesterday my daughter said it was the best Cullen Skink she'd tasted. We also took some cakes home with us. Everything was spot on. We'll definitely be back. Halloumi next time for sure!
Wonderful little cafe on the harbour. Food is delicious, good selection for vegetarians. Staff are friendly and efficient. Great value and definitely recommended.
Wow what a gem. Delicious full breakfast and quesadilla.
Best cafe in nairn. Lots of eateries but this is by far my choice over any. Keep it up
Lovely little place, great coffee and welcome - sorry we couldn't stay longer this time but there'll be another visit next time we're in the area.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the best cafe in Nairn and if in a debating mood, Scotland. Okay, at least the IV postcode for sure. We had a phenomenal Cullen Skint and a chicken and pesto sandwich served which what I would have said was “a little out there for me” mangetout coleslaw. This was until I tasted it, the man who came up with this can only be some kind of super human. The kitchen is open-view and we were entertained by some stirling banter by the chef while eating. They are lucky there is no beds in this place or I would move in!
My Westie and I were made to feel very welcome on a very cold day! I had a bowl of Cullen Skink, which I have to say was one of the best I've ever had! Absolutely lovely. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely go back. Certainly worth a visit, highly recommend.
Best cullen skink I’ve ever
The Cullen Skink here was really amazing and the staff was very conscientious and attentive about food allergies. Definitely a great stop for lunch. Be forewarned the little canister with the white plastic nozzle lid is NOT SUGAR that is SALT DON'T ADD IT TO YOUR CAPPUCCINO don't make the mistakes that I made. The salted cappuccino was obviously my fault and not the staff which is why I'm still giving them five stars.
A cosy cafe by the Nairn harbour and between the Nairn and east beach. It’s an easy walk from both beaches, and a much needed haven in the cold. The decoration is sweet and simple. The walls are adorned by lovely paintings which you get to enjoy with a warm cuppa. They do brunch and have lots of cakes and small delicacies you can enjoy with your warm drink. They are a nice friendly bunch. Happy to help with directions and suggestions in the area.
This cafe serves great food. My wife had Cullen Skink and I had “Rusty fries” chilli con carne, chips and cheese. Both were excellent hot and tasty, served by very friendly and efficient staff.
Great spot by the harbour. Excellent food, good service and very friendly atmosphere. If you could extend your range of GF and vegan options even further, that would be brilliant!
Absolutely lovely place to stop by the Harbour for coffee, bacon rolls or a nice slice of cake. There's an ice cream window and tables to sit outside or in. Staff are charming and helpful. Exactly what a wee cafe should be.
Small but great atmosphere - well staffed and they are clearly enthusiastic for their business and produce, it felt like a well oiled machine as the table was populated with freah clean utensils and condiments. I tried my first vegetarian breakfast and it ate as good as it looked (see below). It was obvious they had solid local support but visitors were made extra welcome - happy to recommend and will visit again.
This is one of our favourite places, if you can get in as it's very popular yet can be cramped inside (which is all part of the atmosphere). It's warm, friendly staff are a credit to Basils, they always make you feel welcome especially when it gets busy. The food is fresh and reasonably priced, highly recommended to pay a visit here.
Food this little Cafe by chance. Food was fantastic and staff really friendly. Always feel great when you find a gem like this.
A great wee cafe at Nairn harbour. Sitin or take away. Open until 4 pm.good quality ingredients cooked well , friendly knowledgeable staff. Excellent ice cream
Food was good. Service was good. You won't be disappointed, all good. I had an Egg Salad sandwich (egg and mayo) family had the BLT.
VERY good service, food was quick and tasted perfect. Was a good price too!
Lovely Cullen skink would recommend this. Service was excellent very friendly, it is very popular if you are in the area please make a B line for this café.
Just stopped off for a quick coffee and scone to warm up from the cold wind outside, this place was just what we needed. Lovely friendly staff and we felt super welcomed. Would have loved to stay longer to try more of the food and watch the world go by.
Wee place but perfect for a snack before a beach stroll or walk towards the Culbin forest. Vegan and gf friendly! Our only find/option in town :)
Had a great time here good staff and lovely food
