TL:DR
Service was great but would advise going before the 9:30pm last bookings as your order will be rushed.
Food was amazing and our server (Rosie) was friendly, patient and very helpful.

I have visited many Miller and Carters throughout the country and decided to try this one while on a bank holiday trip to Suffolk.
Initial impressions weren’t good as upon arrival the manager on shift advised us the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes and we were pressured to get an order through upon arrival even though there is a later booking time available at 9:45pm.
Following the above we were taken to our table and allocated a server (Rosie) who was extremely helpful and patient. Rosie’s service was excellent, describing to us her recommendations which led to us having the butchers block.
Impressions then improved with the cleanliness of the restaurant and atmosphere which was very pleasant.
Our mains and sides then arrived where I can say the food was well presented and tasted excellent.
With approximately 25 minutes till close (10:35pm) Rosie then asked if there was anything else she could get us. We ordered the chocolate brownie dessert to share and I asked for another small glass of Red wine (given the time). Unfortunately, I was told the bar closed at 10:30pm and no more drinks orders were possible. This was disappointing as I wasn’t notified or asked regarding any last orders for drinks.
Overall, a good experience with a couple of minor improvements and excellent food. I would definitely return but with an earlier reservation time.
Went for a family meal - 3 adults and 2 children U12.
Plenty of parking available.
We arrived at 18:30 and was promptly seated in a very large booth that sat 6 people.
Place was clean and tidy and staff were pleasant and welcoming.
Had to wait a little to get our first drinks. Could see them sitting at the end of the bar for at least 10mins.
Starters:
The garlic bread was barely warm but OK.
All over nibbles was fine.
Mains:
All cooked to are requirements and was very nice. Kids meals were spot on.
One pot of my chips were warm and the others piping hot.
With 2 alcoholic drinks, the rest soft drinks and the meal for 3 adults and 2 Children came to just over £170.
My family and I always have a great evening here. Tonight we had yet another fantastic dining experience for my sister in laws Birthday. Our server was Saffron who is just awesome! She's warm, attentive and got involved with our tables banter from the off. Couldn't recommend this place enough.
Really enjoyed our recent visit to Miller and Carer Ipswich. I had the rack of lamb which was fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Absolutely no complaints but.... found the waitress? A bit too loud! Very helpful and kind just a little loud.
All the food was served at a good pace, service by Katie was excellent very polite and welcoming throughout our trip. The only thing i could suggest for improvement would be the medium rare on one of the steaks was closer to rare (i dont mind this but others may not). All the food was seasoned amazingly past this and everything was brought to us speedy too, no waiting around.
Our served Kay was polite and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed. My husband really enjoyed his steak and the cocktails are great value on the 2 for £12 deal! No wait for our food as the service was quick and efficient. Will definitely return.
Really kind helpful waiting staff, very efficient service thank you. Food was delicious but everywhere I go and this place was the same, only three small scallops in the starter 😔. Everyone in our party loved their steaks! Perfectly cooked. All our food was delicious thanks. Loved the mini pudding and cocktails. Thanks to chef and all kitchen staff. Excellent value for money. Toilet's were a bit grotty, not awful just need a bit more tlc for cleaning.
I visited with my wife and young son for my birthday meal in February.
We were given a warm welcome when we arrived and we’re shown to our table. Our waitress was superb. She was attentive and she was very good with our son - I think he made a new friend! She brought over colouring crayons for him to do some drawing while we were waiting for our food. The food itself was delicious, as always for M&C. The dessert was a work of art too - the pavlova. Delicious.
Price wise, it’s not cheap, but it is great quality. We have eaten at this M&C a few times now and have never been disappointed with our meals here.

Some cold items arrived. But staff dealt with it professionally. The steak came slightly over done also. I would expect better. Overall ok. If you can cut a steak without a steak knife that's good.
A nice restaurant, food was good (as expected), didn't get given a kids menu straight away even though we had a toddler with us. Service was good and staff were friendly. Was a birthday and staff did a dessert plate specially.
Great place, always wise to book. Food is to die for! Highly recommended.
Great steaks, and the service tonight was excellent. 💯👍🏻They surprised my daughter with a personalised pudding as they knew it was her birthday. 🥳🎂
First time to the Ipswich Miller and Carter. Food was perfect. Our waiter was kind and polite but we did feel like he was hurrying us up as he tried to take my plate away while i was still eating and kept saying do you want the bill .
We didn’t have the best start; our table near the entrance was draughty and we had to move. Also waited some time for our first drinks. However, the service was no problem after that and the main dinner was great. Every dish was really well seasoned and obviously cooked by a decent chef. However pudding wasn’t great. Only vegan custard available (in a steak restaurant bizarrely!) which was vile. Also brownie was really a dense chocolate cake. Nevertheless we would return for the mains alone!
