went hear for my mothers day meal with my son his partner and his mum and had a gorjus meal staff and service was wonderful deffo will come again loved the restraunt very homely and best meal out all in i have had in a long time so thank you to the caprice and there staff gratci xxx
Really lovely restaurant, reasonable prices. We enjoyed all the courses of food and if you find it hard to decide on the menu you can choose a half and half option pizza and a pasta. Definately will be going back next time we are visiting �
I always get the half and half, half margarita pizza and half pasta and meatballs delicious everytime. My little pizza lover had a batman shaped pizza one night and a fish shaped one another night. Staff are lovely and the place is sparkling clean. When im in the area again we will be back ��

Just brought back so many moments....
The Fillet Steak was tasted just like my father used to make it.. :)

I’m really thankful for the team fitting me in on a very busy night.
It did mean that I had to go upstairs which is the noisy part of the restaurant but I was happy with that. I’d already been turned away from one place. I’ve not been used to company for a couple of weeks as I’d been hiking, so it was kinda fun to hear all the banter.
The girls looked after me really well, and brought my food out before the group table so it meant only a short wait. Yay!
The food was great, garlic bread and a Caprese pizza. 2 Prosecco’s. I was happy with the price.
It really hit the spot and warmed me up.

The areas that could be better:
🍝 I've been a few times, sometimes the food is great but sometimes it's not as good. The food is a bit inconsistent, but the food is never bad.
🍨 The biggest reason for the 4 ⭐️ review was the tiramisu. Tiramisu is my favourite dessert, but the Caprice version with a chocolate finger and sprinkles doesn't work for me 🌧
Overall, this was more of a 4.5 experience and was so close to 5, but an improved tiramisu and consistency, then this is surely a 5 ⭐️ experience. Keep up the friendly environment and the homely feel!! Worth a visit 🇮🇹
We had an early dinner here, we hadn't booked in advance but had over an hour before the next booking which was plenty time. I wanted lasagne but they didn't have any, so went with a chicken dish which was very good and generous portion. Husband had a pizza and thought the Italian sausage was a bit sparse. Reasonable value, if we visit the area again I would be happy to go back there.
I had the Spaghetti Meatballs and my son had the "Fun Shape" pizza which came out as the Batman symbol. He was so excited to see it

Known this place since I was a small kid but never visited. Glad we did, great little place lovely staff and tasty food.
the last time I went to the Caprice was 20 years ago and it was empty lacked atmosphere and frankly i wasnt going to go back but NOW its fabulous the staff were amazing the owner there and working with his staff the food was great it was full of people . I enjoyed it, we are all going back next month . worth giing
Staying nearby and found this place whilst passing through Musselburgh. Very glad we stopped to try this authentic Italian takeaway / restaurant.
Pizza was very tasty, base itself was light and fluffy, toppings were of good quality.
Pasta was excellent - the meatballs just melt in the mouth. They were able to accommodate with gluten free pasta which is a bonus as not many places can do this.
Price was very reasonable and good value for money.
Customer service is great, very quick to respond to questions via social media prior to ordering.
Good setup as there’s a separate entrance to collect orders.
Highly recommend, will definitely order again when next in the area!

I was brought up in Musselburgh and used to love the caprice. This was my first time back in many years and it didn't disappoint. Food was still as good - love their pizza 😍. Good atmosphere - even in these times!

The restaurant was busier than I expected for an early booking in a Sunday. It was good as it gave the restaurant a bit of an atmosphere.
I wanted a seafood spaghetti which unfortunately was not on the menu however the waitress checked with the chef and he offered to adapt one of the items so that I got what I wanted!
It was very tasty.
Was there for my father in laws 70th birthday. There was 7 of us and no complaints. Food was delicious and staff were very efficient, polite and friendly. Would recommend and return to this restaurant.
