A great place for pint. Lots of guest beers/ales on. Good food. Outside patio area looking over common.
Lovely old country pub serving local ales . We were just passing by and stopped for a drink in the beer garden. So peaceful.
Superb atmosphere food and staff simply the best pub
Last Sunday18 of our family went to the Bells and had a wonderful Sunday lunch
to start off a week of celebrations for our Grandaughters wedding.
We can't thank Sara and team at our favourite Pub Restaurant enough for what they did to help make this week so special.
The choices, presentation, and quality were excellent nothing was too much trouble.
We have no hesitation in recommending the Bures Eight Bells.

the staff lovely and friendly and food was good
We had our club agm and Christmas meal here on Tuesday. Sarah and her team were really great in looking after us and the meal was plentiful and really tasty! I'm sure we'll be back again next year
Delicious roast beef was so tender and tatties crispy
Have always love the Bells and the people who run it & frequent it. You won't get a warmer welcome (or a better class of insult from the landlord) anywhere in the country !!!
Sarah and team, thank you for the yummy mince pies your sent up to Ferriers on Thursday, they were delicious. Thank you all so much for your support this year! We will be back with the gang in the new year for lunch xxx
The best shepherds pie I've ever had and a great Sunday lunch too!!
Friendly pub great atmosphere
Man these chicken goujons are tasty!
Lovely traditional pub in a very quaint little village. I'm not a massive eater and they were kind enough to accommodate for that. We all had roast beef dinner and was absolutely gorgeous. Many thanks to the chef because we turned up after dinner service (about 15 minutes) and still served us. Cracking little pub and very friendly staff.
Very tasty roast. Welcoming pub with friendly staff and nice environment, beer garden a positive in the summer months. Family run pub, good to support local business. Dog friendly also !
Lovely country pub, great staff and for me a delicious shepherd's pie. Very tasty and succulent veg cooked in a traditional way. Superb. Give it a try you won't be disappointed!
What a great find in Bures. Fantastic home cooked food, at bargain prices, good beers on offer and daily specials which are such good value. (Bakewell tart for £3?? Brilliant!) All met with a friendly smile - we will definitely be back!!
I've visited many a 'local' in my time but the Eight Bells Bures takes some beating, on every level. Family owned for over forty years this village pub knows how to do it! Good food, beer and great staff. If you're looking for a genuine pub then look no further!
Staying locally in the area and wanted to find a pub with a good selection of real ales. This was the third pub we visited within about 10 miles as the others only had one or two ales on, a very good selection of ales for all tastes and friendly staff, nice location. Recommended.
Friendly pub. Stopped in whilst walking the Stour Valley Path and the landlord & landlady could not have been any more welcoming and accommodating.
This place is incredible and the art from Susan fuller was something else. I highly recommend going here for a date night and a game of naked pool xx the best night ever.. also my current partner proposed to me here and I said no as I was wet and cold from
Kayaking. One day tho we will have our wedding reception there. I have never experienced a pub like it, it has beautiful decor and the staff are so kind, we were blessed with Tetley tea and we bought a digestive biscuit and the pool was only 50p and the lady let me have 2 50ps for £1 xx brilliant deal
I am going to tell the world about it as I am so proud to be known in the village of Bures
Great evening, great company and great welcome. Lovely pub.
Lovely friendly pub, great service lovely food, very friendly!
