My husband & I got married here recently & had exclusive use from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning, it was like a big house party with all your favourite people & a wedding thrown in. Helen was our wedding planner from start to finish & nothing was too much trouble for her or the rest of the staff. The food was incredible & vegetarians, vegans & a coeliac were all catered for. All our guests commented on how stunning the hotel & its location were & on the food & the staff. We’ve booked in for next April to celebrate our first anniversary in style. Our flowers were from Sweetpeas & Sunflowers in Instow, the Dj was The Wedding Spinner from Ilfracombe, our Singer/Guitar player was Wayne Green from Ilfracombe & Wedding Belles from Westward Ho! did hair & make-up, Jon Malyn of Indigo Perspective was our photographer & we highly recommend all of them.
Myself and my partner stayed for an evening and we had a fantastic room with the most comfortable four poster bed and a newly refurbished bathroom that was stunning .. we had lovely sea views from our room you could even lay in bed and see the sea ... we had a bottle of champagne in our room too and the price we paid also included dinner .
The dinner in the bistro was one of the best meals I've ever had I couldn't fault it and the same for the breakfast that was enjoyable too .
If I was to find any criticism it was the service at lunchtime waiting to order our cream tea there was a lack of staff it seemed but maybe that's because it was out of season ... my scone itself was amazing .
The beach outside of the hotel is just perfect . We would definitely recommend this hotel
Great hotel & location, we had a luxury terrace room, which had a great view and was very comfortable. The evening meal in the restaurant was also first class with very polite and helpful staff, and exceeded my expectations. The hotel also has its indoor pool and jacuzzi which is a great facility and place to relax. The outdoor pool also looks great and sure it would be more inviting in the summer. Will definitely return.
We were just staying for a little break and loved the Watersmeet! Our room was very spacious, with a gorgeous view. The staff were absolutely lovely and very attentive. The food was scrumptious! Will definitely be going back, for a hopefully longer stay 🙂
We had a wonderful cream tea today and, thanks to the glorious weather, enjoyed the view from the balcony over the gardens and beach. The service was very friendly and the scones, warm from the oven, were some of the best we've ever had; and we speak as Devon locals and self-styled connoisseurs!!
What an amazing find. The Watersmeet Hotel is outstanding. We stayed here from Monday to Friday (Sept 11th- 15th) and couldn't find a single fault. Incredible service nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing absolutely everything was cooked to perfection with awesome flavours. Our room was gorgeous with a stunning seaveiw and very clean. I would wholeheartedly recommend The Watersmeet Hotel

Having camped in Morthoe over the last 50+ years and always passed this amazing hotel we finely had the opportunity to stay there. It was simply the best. Cannot fault it. A huge thanks to all the staff on providing excellent hospitality. The views were amazing particularly the sunsets.
We had a fantastic stay, the weather was amazing for April, the views to die for and the hospitality was superb. Our room with a balcony was fantastic with amazing views and hearing the waves crashing below as we slept was just incredible. The Hotel Staff we very polite and would do anything for you. We will definatly return. Thank you
Fantastic position and lovely room with a sea view. Really superb hotel - would recommend to anyone.
Lovely hotel. Really clean. Lovely staff. Great food and the very very best view of the sea.
Loved it.
We went on Sunday to the Watersmeet in Woolacome for the first time, I had booked lunch at 1.00 we arrived at 11.00 for coffee, we were made very welcome, we said we were going for a nice walk before lunch, what a beautiful place and beach, the lunch I had which was "fish of the day" was sole on the bone, cooked to perfection with new potatoes in a very tasty butter sauce, we enjoyed our experience so much we have booked for Easter Sunday
