First time visiting. Really nice pub had the special fish chowder which I thought was fantastic. Wife had scampu which she enjoyed. Decent selection of beers and ciders. Dogs welcome. Will go back later on the week.

Popular, friendly village pub. No public car parking - but that's not unusual for this tiny hamlet. Food available but Monday &Tuesday's you have to use adjacent carpark food stall - who deliver into the pub it's good and quaint. Recommended.

We arrived at 1.55pm thinking that the carvery was open till 2.30pm but it finished at 2pm. Not a problem though because the barmaid put our order through promptly. The food was delicious, fresh and hot. We shall return this week but unfortunately go home to Suffolk on Friday.

Only stopped for brief drink as reward for climb up hilly coastal road north of Woolacombe. Lovely vibe befitting of its almost idyllic location ( in Mortehoe ) Recommend the effort to walk out of town to village with lovely views x

One of my favorite pubs over the many years I’ve been coming down to Devon. Tried a couple of different beers I hadn’t had before and both were very good. Had the food too which was very good.

Fantastic establishment, with wonderful service, a great atmosphere inside and out. There was also live music one of the evenings we were there.

Excellent pub in the village. We have been here for dinner before and the food is lovely. Today we stopped for lunch after a walk and the sharing ploughman’s was very tasty. Good selection of food and drink.

Food was absolutely brilliant, and there was plenty of it. I had a lovely Ploughman's, other adults had Devon Crab Salad and Posh Fosh Finger Sarnie. Kids menu was small but varied enough, spaghetti bolognaise and cheeseburger for our two. Very friendly and attentive staff and a lovely atmosphere

Stopped for a sandwich and a cup of tea. As well as food and drinks they happily dispense info on local sites, routes etc. Nice people. Thanks to them we found the bike route.

Perfect end to a long coast path walk. Interesting menu with a really good range of choices to suit every palate - my husband had the goat curry - I had fishcake with coleslaw, salad and new potatoes. Both were excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive and really made everyone feel welcome.

The food was great, and it didn't take long at all for 5 meals. Love coming back each year and sitting down with a nice cold drink after a hike.

The best pub in Morthoe (out of two!). New chef of late and the food has improved. Solid chips scampi etc good fish and chips and tasty good chicken katsu curry (goat curry was sold out). Best avoid the early tea for kids at 6 o clock but you risk some dishes selling out but I prefer A good proper job ale or korev larger and wait for the rush to subside.
